Look not sure what Vader was watching but I'd compare two performances:
1) Us against central coast- 1000 balls into the box to be cleaned up by a much taller defence. No goals.
2) This game- a lot of different attacking options attempts to hit the ball low across the face, cut back in and we scored 3 goals. A lot of players in the box. We should have scored 8 I reckon. Still.
Always felt that we were going to score a lot and we did. Yeh Bertos did mix it up a lot more. Thought he was awesome actually. The only player who looked woeful on attack (apart from one run) was Lochhead. We don't have Smeltz to get on the end of his crosses, so anytime we get a taller, stronger defence which is most of the time, we've got to look to play to feet and mix up the attack. Felt we tried to do that and were a real threat.
Yeh some of the shooting was crap. If we'd been clinical (and we had our most clinical player on the bench for some reason- would be interesting to see him playing in a game with this game plan) we'd have scored a lot more.
Also- again we seemed to have a massive amount of space in the midfield. Not sure how we would have gone if that had been closed down like it was against Sydney. That'll be the test. How much energy we can show on the ball and how much movement off it.
From this line up I want at least two goals every game. I don't think that is an unreasonable expectation. If you have a 1 up lead bury it 2 or 3 up!
