I will say one thing and this may upset a few folks on here but why the f*ck did Ricki make a substitution when we're defending???

never going to win the league with tim brown and lia pulling the strings in midfield how many times did greenie have to drop in to midfield to get the ball.

Sadly not.  I can't watch our away performances any more.  Drives me up the f**king wall with frustration.  And there was a good Paul Weller documentary on...

You could just save us all time and tell us you're a Chelsea fan. Then we'd all understand.

Three for me, and two for them.

Actually Adelaide played well.

No disgrace for our lads.

I'm sorry to say this but and I'll probably get abused. But Ricki is not up to this job, we have been found out, and tactics need to change but they havn't. Time to get abused.

I dont agree with you that it was poor. For the most part we played some encouraging football against the top team in the league on their home turf.

Problem is attitude.

We bossed the game first half, were looking good. Pav, while not clinical, was holding the ball up well and bringing others into play. Most importantly, having him up top allowed Greenacre to use his reading of the game and experience to drop in and link midfield with attack, something we struggle with.

Then, second half begins and Adelaide get on top - as they were bound to do at some point in the game. Ricki's solution: to take off Pav, undoing our good work and leaving us with no outlet and simply inviting them onto us more, increasing the pressure we were under. Three goals, game over.

We need to back ourselves to have the quality to control games. Even when Adelaide got on top, we just needed a slight change - I'd have swapped Brown for Ward to give us a bit more vision and creativity in midfield - to turn the momentum back in our favour. Ricki is much too negative away from home. We have a good team, we need to back ourselves.

Hard to hold out Van Dyke, Flores, Dodd all the game. 3 good finishers. An area we are still lacking in

I just think we played a bit simple tonight. Saw it from the start when we fill the midfield with Brown and Lia, its kick the sh*t out of them time. Works for the first half then Adelaide figure it out, bring on Dodd and that's game. Made my some money at the TAB with draw/adelaide option but honestly very disappointing.

Exactly. Took their chances well, which is why they are top of the table. I loved the way we played in the 1st half but we were given a footballing lesson after that.

Very encouraging. We've actually played football, found space and played to our strengths. We've even seen the old Leo.

We'll probably feel so uncomfortable about being comfortable on the ball that we'll play like cocks in the 2nd half and lose 4-0. First half, can't remember the first half we'll all say.

Did I say that? It was an anti-jinx attempt.

Don't be a twat.  I've been playing football for probably longer than you've been on the planet.  We are crap away from home.  Week in, week out.  That's why I'm not watching.  That's my choice - and why there is the same debate on here every away game about "what's missing."  Remind me - how many points have we got across the ditch this season?

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

Pav was rubbish in front of goal and had to come off. I agree we should have stayed with 2 up front, but with the players we had on the bench it wasn't really an option, and obviously Big Mac has done (or not done) something to not be picked. It is one of the problems with only having a three man bench.

Adelaide and Brisbane are doing quite nicely with having a three man bench

I agree, with form like this away, and the very lucky results at home.  Brisbane must be looking forward to next week.

Sure the coach has to take some of the blame.
Ricki had the budget..or lack of it ...this season to recruit Ward, Big Mac,North and Vukovich, in positions we needed shoring up on.Where were these new "stars" for the Nix tonight when we started ....on the bench, or not picked. They are not performing.
This team lacks solid confidence. They had it for the first half.It vaporised in the 2nd.These same guys played with distinction end of last season.
