Well, that third goal was pretty good. But as noted above the referee has a, ahem, poor game. Odds stacked against us but despite all of that I am still proud of the team and they are better trhan this result.
Put this one in the black book when Adelaide come to NZ. Ref, one of the assistants and the commentators out of their depth. Some-one has to pay down the track. Great effort lads.

I just about smashed my tv when Adelaide scored their second goal.
I want to see the ref stood down for a number of weeks after making at least 2 game-changing mistakes (more like 3 in my book).
Siggy's card should be rescinded.
Jeronimo should be suspended for one game for simulation if FFA have any integrity.
Now, to us:
- Totori cost us two goals tonight - I think it's fair he stays home next week. It's not like he tried a through ball or something like that. On the first goal he let his man run 60 meters with the ball without doing jack. On the second goal he lots the ball in the middle of midfield.
- Boyd has hardly touched the ball everytime he has played. He is only 17 - I think we should explore other avenues, Clarke to name one and give Boyd more time to mature.
Overall, we should have done better in the second half, refree's mistakes notwhistdanding.
Big ups to Dura for saying it like it it - he sure has integrity - unlike those so-called journos who said you can't call someone a cheat even if he is blatantly one!

Agree on both counts. I used to think that Totori could be a useful impact player in this league, but the more I see of him, the more I'm convinced he's woefully out of his depth at this level.
Boyd to me looks still a bit green and physically not yet up to the demands of the A-league. On the limited viewing I've had of Clarke so far, I think he offers more than those two combined at the moment.

I just heard one of the commentators say about the dive "well he is Argentinian, it is part of their culture". Another gem "Durante should have spoken more carefully because kids watch this". Well, Dura said the officials were rubbish (true) and the dive was a cheat (also true), so if he's telling kids that cheating is bad and that some officials can be incompetent I think he's spot on.
