It was a close call but in the context of the rest of that debacle was even more frustrating. He was definitely closer to being on than Cassio was

Paston - every goal seemed to almost go in the middle of the goal and I can't recall Paston even moving for any of the 3 goals!

On the other side of things, I am worried the 'Bertos experiment' is not working. He is not a defender and he never will be. For that 2nd goal in particular he could've made more of an effort to get a tackle in, but was too busy worrying about claiming for offside. The 3rd goal was similar with Bertos the closest to the player, but not getting a foot in. As I say though, not completely his fault when he's been playing out of position. Absolutely ridiculous that the right back problem has not been solved for so many years.
Agreed. I think the Leo exoeriment is showing positive signs. If he keeps improving at the current rate he'll be superb by the end of the season.

Hm, don't remember it that far, recall that Dura was vigorously appealing for offside, have to see the replay of it again.
Definitely Bertos, just watched it again to make sure I wasn't talking nonsense! I think for the 2nd and 3rd Bertos could've thrown himself in front of the ball, just a bit lazy IMO.

We'll have to agree to disagree. He stopped running and didn't even try to get a tackle in. Defenders should be doing everything possible to get in between ball and goal and he just didn't do enough. All IMO of course.

I remember the Patricio Perez incident - not the Baird one.
Intersting to note that Perez too is a South American, and that he was new to the A-League (it was his debut from memory).
If indeed there is a cultural component to diving - and some players are more prone to it than others - then FFA must make it clear that such behaviour will NOT be tolerated in this part of the world.
Does anyone know when the Match Panel Review meets? Also, who/where/when is in charge of reprimanding players/coaches etc for (alleged) inappropriate behaviour?
