For a team that is usually fairly ordinary in their technique/control in the mid field, the fact that they have absolutely no precision with their set piece play is ordinary. So many free kicks and corners this year that are dealt with with ease.

Last year our centre backs would burst onto the ball and intercept it. Their positioning and timing was usually very good. Now they stand off and hope for a turnover.

Not Musa's fault for the goal, the player turned towards him before chipping it over... he had to get ready to move forward to shut down the attack.
Better question is how can we give a guy enough space to recieve and turn and chip a ball over the top 20 yards out from goal in the centre of the field??
Musa has made a few interceptions in the 15 mins i saw and looked good. Our midfield is nowhere to be seen though and our balls are aimless and just over the top.
To play long ball you need to have more than one upfront.

The midfield must be confusing the Victory keeper with our strikers. They're finding him with awful regularity.

That moment almost sums up our defence for me. Victory bomb a long ball, no one within a mile of a straight back four, header comes to our centre back without anyone near him, instead of knocking it straight down to a team-mate bombs a header 15 metres up and turns the ball straight back to the Victory.
