The Nix are having an open training run at Waikato Stadium at 4 pm of Friday 9th.

On the morning of Saturday July 10th Ricki and the whole Phoenix squad will make a public appearance in Garden Place at 9.50

Have any posters appeared in Wellington?

^Video footage/highlights normally come out after pre season games. Hopefully that will be the case again.

Anyone going to be doing text updates?

Do you know of any twitter accounts that do live updates for the Nix matches?

Can't remember who, but @windrainphoenix is on here.

That'd be me. I've decided not to go due to $$, but will try to follow online and RT anyone who is going.

attn: Aucklanders. I picked up a return bus fare through InterCity for $24. And since it's an afternoon game, you don't even have to stay overnight in Hamilton!!!! You'll be safely back in the big smoke before it gets dark. What a good deal.sneakyrat2010-07-05 22:42:05

I've still got to talk my brother around to go to this one. Apparently he's having his engagement party on the same day, and his fiance won't let him go! If anyone sees the guy on the right of my profile pic this week, tell him he's whipped and to stop being a little bitch, there is football on! Thank you.

Fair enough, scary place after dark anyway ha!

Sounds good, I wasn't sure who would be doing live updates for this match via twitter.

Waikato Tourism Board had this to say...

"We encourage all Wellington Phoenix supporters from accross the land to come to the City of Hamilton on July 10th for a fantastic night of football. Aslo, supporters should probably come here as chances are that they may find stuff thats been stolen from them in the past if they visit our vast array of Pawn Shops in the region!"

Not only are there no kids tickets for the Fever Zone in Hamilton, the tickets are 30% dearer than the better seats next to it. Trying to profiteer from the branding of Yellow Fever, I hope Waikato Stadium are paying a generous commission to YF for the use of the name!
Are the Yellow Army Banners going up?

^ Wow, that is bullsh*t. Since when do supporters areas cost more?

So why don't we all just sit somewhere else? Since when does Waikato Stadium dictate to the Fever!

We don't sit.

Three for me, and two for them.

Just realised my junior team doesn't play this weekend because of school holidays.  Very tempted to drive up now. 2ndBest2010-07-06 23:03:03

Where are they putting the YF Zone then? Is it not at the end of the stadium behind the goal?

Doesn't say on the tiecketek website.  But YF tickets are the most expensive and the same price as ticekts in the Brian Perry stand (runs along one touchline).  Thus I would assume somewhere near half way.  Probably covered too.

Original plans were at one end but they stopped talking to us so no idea what the final verdict was.

I would hope there is at least 10 grand there. This is Hamilton and Auckland's chance to prove they can support football. Get in there!

I'm still figuring out how many tickets I'm going to need. Hopefully see you all in the Fever Zone!

Putting it on the same weekend as an All Black test in Auckland may limit travellers from Auckland wanting to try it out.....
