Good? I would laugh in the face of rugby if that happened. It would be fantastic.

It won't though.

Three for me, and two for them.

Isn't Eden Park's capacity 60K? even at half that's 30K so not going to happen.

Let stop with the comparisons between the two games. I suppose it's on, on the same day...

Perhaps a more achievable goal - the highest attendance at a pro footy match at Waikato Stadium is 3,500 (Kingz v. Melbourne Knights, 1 Nov 2001). We can beat that. A Wellington pre-season match drawing a higher attendance than an Auckland regular season match?

Well, let's hope they do better during the game, than the video of their training session shows

Wonder, will Michael Theoklitos, ex-Melbourne,  be playing in goal for Brisbane? Didn't he sign for them in March after leaving Norwich?
<!-- Start Member Post -->

Poor old MICHAEL THEOKLITOS - major hero at Melbourne for some seasons- and a zero at Norwich City. His first attempt to break into English football also ended disastrously when he got injured at Blackpool early on and only played 3 games for them after transferring from the Football Kingz in 2003. He was very good however for the Football Kingz in a weak team.
Must be "the Curse of the Kingz"?

The amusingly disastrous details of his 0-7 debut last year for Norwich City: Not only did he concede 7 (5 before half-time) in his "worst-ever" performance in Norwich's first game of last season - but the opposing manager in that debacle ended up replacing the sacked Norwich manager and, understandably unimpressed, relegated Theoklitos to third-choice keeper.
 Oh, and Mike missed the team coach when later elevated to the bench for an away game!!!

Be interesting to see if Theoklitos can regain his old Melbourne form this season for Brisbane Roar.
Also perhaps a warning for the likes of Mark Paston (whose youthful forays into British footie were also injury-clouded and not a resounding success) that the grass is not always greener in Old Blighty:

"In the opening match of the season on 8 August 2009, Theoklitos endured a disastrous debut for Norwich against Colchester United at Carrow Road, conceding five goals before half-time and seven in total. He missed his punch for the first goal, palmed a shot straight into the path of Clive Platt for the second and failed to save a free-kick for the fourth.[2] Theoklitos later admitted it was "the worst performance of my career."[3]

Despite the performance, Theoklitos still had the support of manager Bryan Gunn,[3] a former goalkeeper himself. However, Gunn did not have the support of the Norwich board and was sacked, to be replaced by Colchester manager Paul Lambert, who had engineered the 7-1 defeat. Under Lambert, Theoklitos slipped out of favour to third choice goalkeeper. He was recalled to the bench in October for a Football League Trophy game away to Gillingham, but inexplicably failed to turn up for the team bus,[4] effectively ending chances of another recall, continuing to play for the reserves team.

Lambert confirmed in December 2009 that he expected Theoklitos to be leaving the club.[5]

Theoklitos' contract was terminated by mutual consent in March of 2010.[6]
