What a game. Everyone played well.

Take back what I said about Fred - he played about 1000x better in the 2nd half.

Lochhead, Ferrante, Durante, McKain, Smeltz, Siggy, Brown, Bertos (pretty much the whole team)...f**k, even Paston...were awesome tonight.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, YOU f**kING BEAUTY!

Great win. Thought we looked a million times more threatening going forward than we were last week. Durante was immense and Smeltz's goal was an absolute peach.

They'll be singing and dancing in the streets of Pukekohe tonight.(well, I will)

...and we pissed all over them in the moustache dept. as well

Agreed (especially the Paston comment) possibly our best game ever.

Great win by the boys. Would have to be our best ever win. Now we got some momentum going!

Well done Welly, if only it was 3-1.

Could've easily been 3-1 if Hearfield didn't play like such a numpty when he came on. Only bad thing we did all night though so eh.

I think the 1st half was a little nervy and we just set out to contain Melbourne. Once we went in 1-1 and really believed we could compete I think the boys just got a huge boost of confidence. The 2nd half was the best attacking play I think I have ever seen from us.

The midfield trio (McKain and Ferrante especially) played like men possessed tonight. McKain is great on the ball and always seems to get to 50/50's.

Would have been, had Bertos met Fred's cross or Christie not passed to the defender when it was 3 on 1... both played well though.

EXCELLENT!!!
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Yeah, that was rreal head-in-the-hands stuff. Doesn't take away from a fine game Bertos had today though. He's really hitting his stride for us now.

If we'd scored ten and they'd scored nil, we'd have won ten-nil.

BLOODY STUNNING! Thats why you support your team through thick and thin, not even the Bikini Clad bar chicks could distract me tonight (actually not sure if they even had bikinis on!) at the local tavern! A totally inspirational performance, and it's bloody fantastic to see yellow fever with the shirts off!

What a great result.  Smeltz's goal was fantastic and Brown's wasn't too shabby either.

Paston to stay imo.  Crowd getting better but I hope our next game will be at least 11 000.

Think they said it was just under 8K. Could be wrong tho'

Disappointed in that. Thought it would be bigger, but at least the numbers are slowly climbing.
