Take back what I said about Fred - he played about 1000x better in the 2nd half.
Lochhead, Ferrante, Durante, McKain, Smeltz, Siggy, Brown, Bertos (pretty much the whole team)...f**k, even Paston...were awesome tonight.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I think the 1st half was a little nervy and we just set out to contain Melbourne. Once we went in 1-1 and really believed we could compete I think the boys just got a huge boost of confidence. The 2nd half was the best attacking play I think I have ever seen from us.
The midfield trio (McKain and Ferrante especially) played like men possessed tonight. McKain is great on the ball and always seems to get to 50/50's.

Would have been, had Bertos met Fred's cross or Christie not passed to the defender when it was 3 on 1... both played well though.

Was Hearfield not Christie?

Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

It's going to be bloody tough to pick a best player.

Radiosport said Christie. Sounds like something he'd do.
In the meantime, WE JUST BEAT THE F-ING VICTORY
if we win this, I don't care if it's the ugliest game in the history of football, and someone whinges about how we played, I will be mildly annoyed, putting it mildly.
Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

What did he say he would do if we won again?wellyphoenixfan2008-11-28 22:01:47Phoenix till I die!
Paston to stay imo. Crowd getting better but I hope our next game will be at least 11 000.
Phoenix till I die!
