Doesn't help that Terry gave $1.5m to WGA only for the loan to not come through.

Does anyone else see a giant hole in that cv?

goes from retail, to bank admin, to sports gear sales, to 'overseeing british rugby league sales', to gettiing a personal call from Terry to come and be his manager of commercial operations... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

"It was a brilliant job, but then my lovely wife Hillary got pregnant so we moved home to start a family."

These things happen Nathan - for every action there is a consequence...

i didnt mean a hole as in a time period, nor was I referring to his family, i meant how do you go from all of those other jobs to being terry's manager of commercial operations. Not a normal step is it... especially when it involves a personal phone call...

As was said before, he didnt come back and get a personal call to be CEO. We already had the mighty Tony P for that.

He only stepped up into the role once the Great and Almighty Tony P left.

And to my knowledge, by that stage, he would have had a pretty good understanding of the company to be able to be the interim CEO (im assuming he's still the interim CEO)

When you put it like that I guess.

Manager of Commercial operations is responsibility for running the shop, merchandising ansd sponsorship... seems a logical step from banking and merchandising of another sport.

Indeed

I didnt realise the comm ops job was so low level

Now has me asking questions as to why he is our CEO when so obviously unqualified - i guess terry must be getting a bargain on his salary

I won $4 from a $4 Keno ticket today, can officially retire and still have enough money to help Terry if he needs it.

Sorry to be pedantic but technically you haven't "won" anything. You haven't lost either but you haven't won...

Unless, of course you received the Keno ticket as a gift or a scraggy looking dog that smells like seaweed gave it to you whilst you were sitting on a park bench. Only then you can say you "won"!

I dunno...
If you consider that $4 as spent and gone then there is definitely an argument for saying that he has won in a way.

If the Phoenix came from a goal down to level at 1 - 1 right on full time have they won?

If you're bored and buy a scratchy for fun,and get back what you spent, then there is an argument that you won money,as you effectively got free entertainment. A better analogy would be if you went to a movie, spent $16 and when you got in they said "congratulations you've won $16!". It'd be a win.

If you bought the scratchy in the hope of winning money, then it isn't a win.

Anyway, I am bored stupid of every "Terry is going broke" story or half-baked rumour. Wake me up when there's a "Terry has gone broke" story.

Better yet, would prefer a "Terry shows them all the finger as he deposits $10 million sponsorship in the bank for the Nix" story, with pics.

"New Zealanders might not yet understand how fortunate they are, but when the time comes New Zealand will be one of the most desired countries to live in and its wealth could reach unexpected highs."

imo, all of us 'poor people' are gonna get kicked to the side by these rich assholes.

Sure, lets get him investing in our football team.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

We live in a world owned by and run for the benefit of rich assholes, unfortunately, and the A-League business model doesn't work without them. I wish I lived in a world where the Nix could be owned and run by a Supporters' Trust, but we're a few decades off that being realistic.
