I think it is interesting that $2m seems to be the figure demanded of the Phoenix 5 and of Terry, according to that story.
It could be that the Phoenix 5 have guaranteed 2m, so the FFA is asking Terry to match that.
Or it could be that $2m is the probable shortfall for the year.
Or it could be a coincidence, unsure...

Meh. � The supporters of every other club have been bored sh*tless.� Not us.
This offseason has probably had more than the regular season in terms of forum talking points.
Let's see:
1. We're doomed.
2. Why haven't we signed everyone?

Having read alll the comments in JD's now locked thread and this one I would like to make a few observations:
1/ While it seems that the local media may be taking a huge interest in the epic failing of TS financial empire, and others may be in a similar posiiton, it DOES NOT STOP IT FROM BEING TRUE. There is no conspiracy here against TS..he is in the sh*te way past his neck. FACT. Perhaps part of the interest form the media is as a direct result of TS's self made high profile? Just a thought. Its a sad point to make but the tall poppy syndrome is alive and well and has always been so.
2/ Why would anyone want to join him as part of a consortium and provide him with any money as you would have no idea where those funds end up? All the money is going to the Phoenix....Tui ad!!!!
3/ Everyone knows his financial position so dumping all or some of his properties on the market will have no effect on the price.
4/ If he values his assets at $30m more than his debt, he is really in poo swamp as we have no idea if these are his values or fire sale values and does this include fees for all the legal and other expenses yet.
5/ As Grandadi says, if you owe your coach and a friend money, its all over rover. Clearly TS has done nothing to disprove these claims and appears to be becoming an ostrich more and more as the days pass..if I say nothing it will all go away.
6/ Grandadi is on the money here. It is time for TS to leave the club and hand it over to someone or someones who can move it forward. If it is the secret 5 or FFA then so be it. Be aware that the secret 5 sure as hell wont be in any rush to buy the club but will wait till it all goes south and FFA takes back the licence before getting involved..far less cost to them in doing so.
I speak as a fan who has been to almost every game in the last three years (thankfully some of them I was paid to attend) and as a season holder from last season however I, and I am sure there are many others out there, have not renewed my memebership this year until I know if this club has a future. I am not going to pay out money for something that might not be there in 3 months time....disloyal? Not in my eyes..practical? Yes...thats a fact of life...
can I ask who paid you to attend?....and would they be prepared to pay for me to attend also?

This off season has produced more drama for the phoenix than any of the other A league teams put together. coupled with some pure comedy gold, drama, angst, speculation...sh*t there must be a script in there somewhere for a f**king great Tv show....move over Harchester United and make way for the Phoenix
