Mojo been dropped?

Not sure if we have been better at putting out the information this season but it seems whomever is charge of sponsorship has been rather busy this off season.

its a neat trick to make the club look busy and cover up for the lack of player signings

Emporio sounds like an Italian Strikers name.

Emporio is a suitable sponsor, it's looking like this season may be a grind at this stage while we wait for Rudan to take a plunge in the transfer market.

They won't need to give us free product though, the opposition are going to give us our beans.

Maybe someone else is using the Huawei link to spy on us! That's why they can read all our set pieces and nullify our attacking threats!

Interesting article Oska. Comments made for some fun reading too. Personally, I don't like their phones. My wife had one and she just kept having difficulties with it until she got rid of it.

I have one of their phones, quite like it.  Although as it's got more full (memory size) it seems to freak out a wee bit.  But by and large, it's a good phone.  I'd hope they don't drop the sponsorship.  Doesn't look good for us.

Depending on how things progress, it also might become a bad look for us to be associated with them.  Would suck to lose the dosh though.

The Phoenix are a pretty high profile brand in NZ sport and the recent upswing means I think we're still a decent brand for corporate sponsorship

Problem is though JD are any big sponsors likely to want to sign up with some uncertainty about our future still floating around.

Huawei are still sponsors until the end of the season, hopefully our future is cemented by then.

I'm not going to lie.  Despite the lack of information about hows and why's, the Nix sponsorship is all that has been on my mind with all of that drama.

We can hope that Huawei decides to say screw you to the NZ Govt by still having it's brand in NZ on football jerseys.  Big hope, but one can dream.

I suspect that withdrawing their sponsorship would be a more effective way of saying "screw you"

Yep they're obviously using it as a threat despite the fact that the sponsorship will mainly be advertising havnd sets not the network itself.

As a kit enthusiast, I would very much appreciate it if Huawei and their sharkty logo application went away.

It is a god awful logo.  But i'd like someone of equal standing (pre-scandal) to replace them if they did go.

If it was 1/3rd of it's current size, i could live with it but not in it's current state. Bring back Sony!

If Sony is not available and Panasonic or Phillips are not interested, then we could always approach LG.

What does the GCSB logo look like, if they were to provide compensatory sponsorship?
