Wonder what that means for Huawei sponsorship.

Going forward tho, who knows. Huawei's deal was up at the end of the season iirc?

Yep. And I thought that they were governmented out of the market here, but don't really know the details.

The GCSB blocked Sparks(?) proposal to build their 5G network with Huawei gear. I think that was the extent of it though - they're still selling their retail gear etc.

From a comment the Spark account made in the Twitter thread it seems the aleague rights may be headed to Spark Sport in the not too distant future.

Seems unlikely considering Sky sponsors the team and stadium and has the broadcast deal.

Interesting that it's spark and not Vodafone though who has relationships with the nix through HRL Morrison.

Yeah that seems a bit odd

More than happy to see a bidding war over football in the future between Spark and Sky.

spark have technically been sponsoring the nix for years. Cloud creator have been on the back of the shorts for some time and are a subsidiary of spark.

It'd be a shame if we got someone new. I like the look of the Huawei logo on out kit.

So next season looks likes this, No license, no major sponsors and no home games.

Think the license is the only factor of the above which is guaranteed if we want  it

Spark and Sky are going to have a bidding fight for the A League next time rights come up. Sky can't skip out now that there is a real competitor in the game.

Should hopefully see some added content introduced as well.

I know Spark is already a sponsor but Vodafone is also an option because of the Phoenix's ties to Morrison & Co.

Whoever is the sponsor there is no way they will be paying as much as Huawei did, I believe the next sponsor deal with be a budget deal paying about a 3rd of what Huawei did.

A sky logo or a Spark logo would look quite cool on a Nix shirt so long as it is not as big as the Huawei one. Make it about 25% smaller and it'd be choice.

Not Sky. It was the death of the Kingz.

So we've dropped KPMG for MCR for the remainder of the season?

Not sure if this is the right place, but happy to see David Dome quoted in the paper supporting the club’s inclusive policy and message.

Good on the Phoenix and Dome.

On another note, I wonder who the title sponsor will be this season and also with Sky with the change from Fox to Paramount.

"With dozens of free extra's" - That was the catch phrase in the Skoda ads here in the 70's. Apparently a Pin stripe down the side of the car to give it a "sporty" look, was a free extra. Along with Patterned seat coverings. I think the seats, wheels, steering wheel, motor must've also been extras. /:

The Skodas of the 70's are long gone, nowadays they are an awesome car, thanks to the buy out from VW.

Has been for many a year. Essentially a VW without the price tag (and possibly emissions?)

I totally dig the design language of SKODA.

So, Spark and Oppo new title sponsors? Kind of interesting considering the teams owners connections with Vodafone and Sky also sponsors the team.

Interesting to see if Spark makes a bid for the A-League rights to go along with it.

Anyone got an Oppo Phone? I heard the camera on them is pretty good. A review if possible please?

I haven't got one of the high end ones, in saying that it still cost me upwards of $700! Although I think the model I have now will be a bit cheaper, as I've had this one for approximately a year. But it runs great, good battery life (I'm always on it for work) and heaps of storage. Only problem I had with it is the flimsy bloody charging cable that came with it, although that's probably pretty miniscule in the scheme of things.

Would recommend. 👍

My wife bought one and immediately returned it and swapped it for a Samsung as the battery was pants. Not sure if it was just a faulty handset or not but she went with a brand she'd used before and trusted. Can confirm the camera was good though.

I got an Oppo Find X2 and it has been fantastic.
Great Battery life, camera seems good (though i dont use it), No glitches or anything, have had it for over a year now.
I find it quite similar to my wife's Huawei (before Google left)

I smashed my P30 pro so bought a Find X3 Pro in the black Friday sales. Seems good so far.
