If they legitimately gave full access to all the code and the UK (the GCHQ did it) did a line for line audit then they aren't going to be able to hide it.

Why should they? The company is basically accused to enabling spying on us. I can’t tell you how many times I get comments about the Huawei logo wearing the gear. We take the money, but we don’t love them, I guess.

All tech companies spy on you. Don't fall for this yellow peril bullshark from Trump and cronies.

yeh, fark all that bs tho- what do you think all the other tech companies do?

Huawei sponsored us through the end of Ernie and Kalezic. Sad that that support is forgotten and caught up in the great game this way. I mean, there's not much new info out there, just all of a sudden it's a big deal.

A bit scary the way we're herded from all directions.

I say give credit to Huawei for loyalty to the relationship. Sure its mutually beneficial but that is the idea of sponsorship. Huawei are demonstrating that they're not just 'fair weather friends', and we have the longevity of the sponsorship support to show for it.

China is invading countries quietly by investing in their infrastructure, waiting until they fall into debt and then claiming parts of the country. (i.e. Sri Lanka and Hambantota's 99 year lease)

America bombs countries to smithereens for no reason, resulting in hundreds of terror cells who want to bomb us back.

Who is, objectively, worse for us in little ol' NZ/Aus? (of course, China are also currently committing mass Uyghur brainwashing so...)

Wonder what this means for content / football coverage / and how much Sky will pay for broadcast rights?

Think its ultimately positive that we have them onboard

SkySports doesn't pay unless its Rugby that's why we will never get a FFA Cup game in NZ! They don't want to pay for production.

If it was anything worthwhile or meaning full they would have stated it in the release but no!.

We don't play home FFA Cups matches cuz the FFA doesn't wanna pay the travel costs for clubs to come here. It is nothing to do with Sky.

That's what I thought, I guess so.  I love Fortune Favours beers. Wellingtonian is a good staple.

Anyone know if the Churchill will host the Phoenix team like they did last year? The Phoenix website had them as sponsors last time I checked but no other information. Their website says they are closed on Sundays.  Their phone message says 'open every day'.  However, no human being is answering their phone. Confused?  I am.

Trump ban preventing Huawei using Google has been extended for another year, I've got a p30 Pro which is a good phone still but they've gotta be loosing money on the p40 and eventually the p50. It can't be good for the nix.

I wonder how the owners businesses are going - Wellington airport is obviously going to be hit pretty hard but then Vodafone and CDC (which hosts the Microsoft Azure Central and Central 2 in Australia) would be going well. Todd energy has probably taken a hit with the collapse in oil.

I asked a mate who was going past there to see if they were making any Fever Pitch for Friday and he said they no longer make it, then I looked at the Phoenix sponsorship page and they had no mention of FF, then I looked at the FF social media and it's all about the Hurricanes with no mention of the Phoenix.

The sponsor is Wgtn hospitality group /Kapura who own FF. You maybe have noticed Nix trying to direct fans to their bars all day every day.

Ah okay, yeah I've noticed that - didn't realise they were one and the same. Shame they're not doing a Phoenix beer though.

From a comment the Spark account made in the Twitter thread it seems the aleague rights may be headed to Spark Sport in the not too distant future.
