And the official version was that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the JFK assasination...

Yep. I'm so underwhelmed by Ricki now. It's possible the team just isn't doing anything he says, but I don't buy it.

And to be fair if the players arn't doing what he says, they shouldn't be starting.

I think Ricki only has himself to blame with the Stein situation, early season he looked dangerous, made intelligent runs and scored goals then out of nowhere he's benched - the guy was on form keep playing him. Instead he drops to the bench, doesn't get the minutes he needs to stay sharp and loses form - you have to wonder if something happened behind the scenes.

Didn't that ankle injury only affect him for one, maybe two games tops?

Yeah it was about 2 games and the 3rd and 4th game back he played about 10 mins?
In some respects, it could be similar to Ifill. Plays like ass 'Yeah I'm all good rock solid guys' and the next min its surgery and 4 weeks. Hard to tell because we have been spun 1 story already.

Either way, Stein is a quality footballer. The question really are 'Is he being used in the most effective manner' and 'Whats the most effective manner to use him within the game plan we want to play'

By playing balls to him like the one that was passed to Archie Thompson for his goal against Sydney. Direct down the middle instead of the get it wide and send in a hopefull cross.

Agree. From what we have seen, he's at his best when there is a through ball for him to run onto. His goals against Sydney FC and Adelaide came from great through balls, and possibly his best play since was when he got the ball on halfway and nearly ran straight through the WSW defence, with an unlucky touch at the end denying him a chance at goal.

And that's why I am hopeful of Cernak cause he tried to do that 3 times when he came on. Would be a nice compliment for Stein. Could try 10 and if only 2 get through.....

That's because someone pretended to be in the know, but in reality just made the whole thing up.

Restaurant Brand stock prices have gone down if anything, so the rumour has certainly softened.

Was just thinking that. Thought Cernak's through balls on Sunday were superb, but with nobody running on to them they were made to look like the play of someone who had been in the team three days and wasn't on the same wavelength as the strikers. Would be great to see him start linking up with Stein. Although part of me wonders whether that kind of creative play will be beaten out of him soon enough.

I know two things about Nicky Carle:

1) his slack defending let Tim Brown score from the centre circle.
2) he looked like the really camp Latino boy from But I'm A Cheerleader.

How? Apart from Zadkovich or Me I can't think of many worse.

It pains me to say that Zadkovich has been quite decent this season. His unpunished flying two-footed tackles have been especially impressive.

A big no thanks to Wheelhouse.

He turned down Heart, sounds like he is going to sit out the rest of the season or possibly even retire.

First name 'Jobe' ?

A no on the name alone.....

I only have time to watch Nix games each week, so don't know much about other teams/players.

For those more knowledgeable than I, would Petar Franjic be a decent pickup ability- or position-wise?

Let go by the Tards to join Billy Mehmet at Bangkok Glass, but Phil Stubbins at BG wasn't overly impressed, and eventually gave last import spot to another Australian triallist, Goran Subara from the Singpore League. Not heard whether Franjic is trying his luck elsewhere in Thailand, or anything else.

Was reported that he also had interest from China. Must say I was surprised to hear he didn't get the Thailand gig.

Was pretty horrid at Melbourne - Ansell is far better. Even Broxham has played a lot better at CB.

Right back, made his debut off the bench a few weeks ago if I'm not mistaken.

I think the problem was it turned out Bangkok Glass actually just make glass.

So should we bother playing him then?

Don't think he's worth signing to a long-term deal so not that bothered.

I agree, if we weren't thinking about signing him loan term then why bring him on board. Surely we knew he was looking at Perth?

Well he better still work his butt off for us this season.

We should be aspiring to better- but I think we should have tried to hold on to him. If we've got better we shouldn't have signed him.

exactly, if we thought we could get someone better than Cernak then we should have signed them instead of him,
