I love Google Translate.

Headline: "Kenny Cunningham is seduced by the Wellington Phoenix A-League"

Later in the article :"Cunningham signed a contract that will stretch over the next two years and what it offered wage exceeds the set purple."

Yeah I wonder if his team was nicknamed the Purples? Like the Reds?
Anyways, seems like the kind of player Merrick has recruited in the past.

Kenny Cunningham is a piss poor name for a Costa Rican footballer. If he joins, he should be forced to rename to Kensisco Cunbero.

Lets hope he's more Hernandez and less Puppy Lopez.

He said he wants his RB/LB to be able to attack. 2 birds with one stone. I do agree however, from what I saw at Porirua park, Fenton is not up to it.

You were there and the mods were there as well I believe? What did you do, introduce yourself as Nuf-NZ and receive a great reception and be shouted a beer? Or hide in the corner in your rain jacket?

HA HA HA

He stated he did not know who the mods were despite 2nd best being very well known with vast media attention in recent months. Hence he was in his rain jacket

Funny cause when I found the link on twitter- his wiki was empty of all of that.

Mods could have a laugh and compare IP addresses of the editor of the wiki page and the posters on here.. lol

Cue JV attack followed by a nufc_nz gif

Why? Mr Big had his chance to put his balls on the line when I called him out. He dropped them. Tried to play Mr Big and chickened out. That's why I think everything he says is full of shit.

Anyway, I've already put my balls on he line more than enough to prove my self. Never been wrong have I ? Huh ?

His twitter feed does suggest he is moving abroad - would be interesting signing as would mean we have a tonne of attacking options.

Think he must be an okay player seeing as he is starting for Costa Rica at the moment in the Gold Cup.

Number 8 in this vid - playing as a central midfielder - attacks well - seems to be a box to box midfielder

Permalink Permalink

Ernie has tried this before at MV with Lopez playing the DM role and Hernandez playing further forward - didn't work well, but in saying that if he is in fact a midfielder it makes me far more excited for his possible signing. We need another decent midfielder pretty badly.

Feels very much a Ernie signing as well - has signed 4 Costa Ricans in the past I beleive??

Permalink Permalink

Did he start any qualifiers. Seems like a gold cup also ran or a box to box midfielder. Wide player

3  - Lopez, Hernandez, Angulo. Solorzano from Brisbane was slightly after Merrick I believe, though he might've had something to do with it. Angulo was a good little player that left too early and didn't get enough chances, imo, but Lopez was crap.
