Wolfben, it was definately "eat" and Riccardo, although I sang it, I think the Speights Ale house should take the credit.  In all fairness, I heard it in Europe and adapted it.  All I remember is everybody laughing instead of joining in for a repeated verse.

But back on topic, IMO Lei Lei Gao was a consistent good performer with the ability to create, so a great signing. With the service from Gao on one side and Leo on the other, even Hard news could bag a few up front.

I think Lia will play defensive mid. or right back.

Saying that the Chinese imports have been bad then about 2 seconds later Gao scores!

Still out there.  Gao is the attacking mid they have been hunting for.  Still a Right Back and striker on the radar I imagine (plus siggy ?)

If you check the article he was very careful to say we 'may' only have one... he does like giving us and the media the run-around.

This is excellent news, well done Ricki and Tony!! Maybe Alen Marcina can come back to join in up front!

 

Gao Leilei is a brilliant signing.  Good work Tony (btw Tony, tell Ricki to sign up to Yellowfever when you next see him).  I agree Hard News, Neil Emblem is class and to be perfectly honest if we had no central defenders I'd like to have him on board.  Him, Gao, Marcina and Hickey were the best players for the Knights.

Our midfield is brilliant now, I hope we still have room for Lia and Ferrante because they are both great players too.  If I could pick a squad for next season I'd probably go for:
                                                Moss

(Whoever we sign)      Durante       Dodd      Lochhead

Bertos            Ferrante            Daniel            Gao
                         Smeltz            Marcina (if we get him, otherwise Barbarouses).

heck we could even play dodd durante n mckain in a 3 man defence if we really wanted, still keen for 4-4-2 tho

We have such a strong midfield it seems almost a shame to use a fourth spot in the starting line-up on a defender.

Yea but Lochead plays much better in a 4-4-2 Leftback role. He pretty much becomes a midfielder. Just check out the perth game
