Well there's nothing there that quotes anyone saying he's going to the Phoenix, the fact that McMaster is in the country and has been confirmed pretty much cancels out that Vukovic article.
I'll be honest, he'd be better in goal.
that bald head of his deflects the stadiums light into the eyes of the strikers and BAM ! clean sheets every game.
I read that he Vukovic turned down a contract in Belgium 2nd division, to sign for us for one year. So not sure what the deal is there.
But with the international transfer up in the air, there's also talk Vukovic couldn't play for us until mid-September.
We definitely need McMaster for the 8 weeks that Crowther is out.
The knitting circle in Auckland would love that, another Aussie to replace a kiwi..

"McMaster, who played 20 matches for the Roar, will be back-up to Phoenix number one custodian Mark Paston, starting with this Sunday's match against the Central Coast Mariners in Wellington.
The Phoenix continue to investigate options with a view to signing an additional goalkeeper on a permanent basis.
The club has also narrowed down candidates for another potential signing. Head coach Ricki Herbert is looking for another attacking-minded player and has identified targets from overseas.
As it stands, the Phoenix have 20 contracted players on its books, with scope to sign an additional three players (including one foreigner) should they be required."

Surely he should be starting to see the a-league as a better option than League 1 or worse. Premier league ain't gunna happen.
*Vukovic, mate.
Well if he arrived here late last night and they agreed terms this morning, 5pm would give them time to get it all drawn up and give him a physical.
I'll learn to spell his name properly if he signs..

Not if Paston is out for a few weeks. Would be a short term signing until he found another club I'd say

At this time of year most clubs in the world aren't looking for a starting 'keeper, and he's been quoted as saying that he hasn't had any income for a while and just wants to find a club for this season.
