Stoked. My stokedness for this season has increased exponentially. I couldn't get stokeder.
 
I won't pretend to know much about this North chap, but by all accounts he's good and we should have a pretty sharp defense. Makes up for losing McKain, by the sounds of things. We're looking good up front, with MacAllister proving his worth, and thrown in Pav as well, and if Toto repays the faith Ricki has shown in him, the midfield should be pretty sharp as well. I think we've built well on last season as far as signings go, so my hopes are high for this season!

We do however have an unbelievable amount of players whose contracts expire at the end of the season. A lot of renewing this season!

All depends now on what formation Ricki goes with. I hope he starts with a 4-4-2 and moves to 3-4-3 after a few games.

It would be very risky to try starting the season with 3-4-3.

According to FourFourTwoOz, McKain and Ifill signed as marquee players? I don't remember seeing it announced.

I know Ahmad ate all the pies was our original marquee player.

Pretty sure McKain was a 'marquee' in that he met the qualifications, and we made him marquee for a bit more room in the cap. Don't think it was ever officially announced, and I very much doubt he was on marquee $.

Ifill I hadn't heard of as being a marquee.

Ifill has the class to be a marquee thats for sure, you'd also assume he's our highest paid player except North. On the other hand ..us signing an aussie marquee, maybe thats why Terry isn't on the rich list :P

You're mistaken. He was called a marquee player because his uniform had to be fashioned from a marquee.

We don't, but we have here possibly becasue North still thinks he has overseas chances in him.  Musa will be first choice ahead of him by the end of the season anyway.

We dont only ever  !!.

But there has been a lot of criticism in signing players for 2 or more years and they subsequently dont  turn out that good and we have to carry them.

Cant have it both ways.

If they are looking good halfway through the year, i am sure that Ricki and co will be doing heaps to get them for another 1 or 2 years. A mix is quite good I think
