a certain jeremy christie's name has just reappaered - http://www.wellingtonphoenix.com/default.aspx?s=aleague_team
Is this a glitch or is it likely that he has re-signed?
It says he has a new kit number (24) and the player statistics bar has also been placed at the bottom of the profile for the 2009-2010 season?
Could make sense as cover for Lia and Brown..
Gould also has a profile
I figue its a glitch BUT with McKain being out of action for a while, maybe the Phoenix have approached him as cover, on loan from Waitakere...
As an aside, the club badge behind the boys makes them look like angels!

Barron is a Central DM, no?

Barron's here, Barron's there, Barron's f**king everywhere!
But mainly a CM, apparently unlikely.

I would like to see Aaron Scott picked up soon, if not by us then by another pro team, for the AWs sake.

I just stumbled across Durante's facebook and I saw that he had Fred as a friend. Trying to convince him maybe ? :P

haha doubtful. But could be a good idea. Think we may see Ferrante dropped for Barron and Maybe Mulligan for Scott. But I have been having secret affection for mulligan.

do we really want to drop a [crap] professional [ferrante] for a decent, 28 y.o., amateur?
I just think we might have to look somewhere else?

Scott is surely a likel siging for next season, him and a big lad for Greenie to play alongside and to replace Chen.

i vote the under 17 national team are all signed as youth team. Yes please.

I wouldn't mind bringing Christie back as defensive/midfield cover. I rate him more than Ferrante.

why do people love christie? he's a great guy but he never did one single good thing in a phoenix shirt. Not even a single memorable pass or incident - I leterally cannot remember him being on the field ever. surely we can do a lot better than that?
Normo's coming home

I remember him screwing up against CCM at home - we let in a goal in the last minute.
He's a good utility player - someone to have in the squad - but was never more than that

I can think of 1 assist. In our first season against Adelaide at the ROF he crossed in a ball which Felipe of all people managed to head in.

Well I think that is an advantage over Ferrante who I have memories of not being able to trap a ball on at least 3 occasions, missing numerous long shots and a couple of tap ins and ghosting around the midfield with out any presence. At least that's been my impression of him.
I remember Christie having a fast break once. Though he might also have messed it up. Didn't have tv coverage in the first season which was probably fortunate.

Lets sign that Nelsen guy who played in that game in the weekend. He looked pretty useful. Good backup for Sigmund too. We could afford him, and no one else, for 1/4 of a season

Its no longer a problem.

What is trapping a ball and does it have anything to do with this guy?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
