I don't think Siggy deserves a starting spot after his indiscretion cost him 3 games, we were just lucky JM was ready to come back, but he's gotta be on the bench this time.
These things seem to work themselves out so if Lia gets a yellow and goes for two games then Siggy comes back and JM moves forward. Sorted.

Siggy's punishment was three weeks, and apart from a silly jab, he was well on form.  Why extend his suspension another week voluntarily?

What I mean there is pick based on form, not because he got himself suspended.  In saying that, form would possibly see him on the bench anyway.

Also talking about form, I don't think Dadi will walk straight in either.  But then I'd have said that abut Reddy, so I won't be surprised to see him start on Sat.

Hearfield    Durante    McKain     Lochhead
Ifill              Brown       Lia           Bertos
                  Caceres    Greenie

Crowther
Dadi
Siggy

I was just thinking about that . it'd be first back to back wins of the season if we do win, and Brisbane has been a little bit poo lately so I'll just say we have a great chance for a win and not jinx nothing.

do the yellow cards follow on into the playoffs?
If they do then maybe it would be better for Brown Durante and co to get suspended early(not at the same time) Rather lose them now than for a vital playoff. Can't see them not picking up more cards before the seasons end.

The game is on Saturday the 9th by the way, not Friday the 9th as currently advertsied on the YF home page!

If it was, I wouldn't announce it. Remember Beckham....

Spot on selection. Dadi has to start str8 away alongside Greenacre. That's why he's been signed. Winning again now is critical. Brisbane will be more worried about Dadi alongside Greenacre, than facing the out of form Bertos. However I'd still use Leo as an impact player off the bench (instead of Costa).

A good game to sideline Muscat. Seems to be on some sort of death wish, and playing any of these matches with 10 men will blow our playoff hopes.

My bad. Fixed now.

Holiday time at the Smith office.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Has anyone else noticed that a win against the Roar has the potential to put us in the top 4? Jets and Glory both have Sydney and Melbourne, so if they both lose that will set us up really well. The lads really need to start pressing hard and aim for the top four, because its right there. AJ132010-01-05 20:24:42

Disco Troy                                         Lochhead

Manny
Daniel
Costa

As much as I Siggy, I wouldn't break up a promising CB partnership, and would have no more than one defensive player on the bench.  Manny offers a lot more versatility and is a bit more match fit.

On current form, Daniel vs Leo is a very tough call, but I'd probably opt for Bertos.

I'd go for Daniel, his crosses seem to be better then leo ..at this point in time that is...

True, why Leo gets the makority of set pieces is beyond me, over the past few seasons Daniel has proven far more capable in game situations, except perhaps on shots.

Greenacre might still be out for game against roar. Had a word with Dura and he reckons Greenie might not make this one.

Dadi and Caceras /Ifill upfront. and Ifill and Caceras should mix it up to create problems for their defence, which is lokking frail without Mooooooo-re.

Dadi and Caceres upfront with Ifill just behind then, Costa on for Dadi when he tires.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already but with Perth hosting Sydney and Jets hosting Melbourne this weekend there is a very real chance the Nix could be in 4th spot this time next week.

did anyone notice on the TV 3 piece when they interviewed Ifill, he was saying these next two home games have to bring 6 points if we want to be in contention for finals football - I'd be happy with that.

Not good. Really wanted greenie there. Wasn't even sure of Dadi on bench this week but I would start him if he was ready. Although we could just play the same team as least week with Dadi on bench instead of Rojas?
