Especially when we win, there should be a parade of sorts all the way back to the backbencher through the streets to the Four Kings. Possibly naked. Or with as many people standing on eachothers shoulders as possible.
Oh Wellington is wonderful. We got the wind, the rain and the phoenix. Oh Wellington is wonderful.

Team news...

Jeremy Christie is suspended for Sunday's game - he picked up his fourth yellow in the last game of last season.

Tim Brown is out for a week with a groin strain.

El**ch set up a goal against under 23's. Might mean
A. He's faster and fitter
B. He missed the defender with a cross and it accidently went to his own player
C. He fell over and hit the ball, if deflected off two players, sending it in the general direction of the Olywhites goal area

Well you can definitley count A out.

Thats never going to happen.

A is the answer in likelyhood.
He will show us this season what a good player he really is.

Remember he come to the Phoenix having not played/trained because of a long injury layoff. Now hes got a full preseaon behind him he will really shine in the A League. Just a pity we havent got him anymore

I have that suspicion as well Nightz, but at the same time I think we made the right decision letting him go.  I think it will prove to be better for both us and the player that he moved on.  He WAS hopelss last year but at the same time he came out of nowhere and was clearly unfit.  If he can capture his NSL form he will undoubtedly be a quality player in the league.

I don't buy into this bad attitude, lazy stuff.  I think we got him at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I'm pretty sure I read on the marinators forum from the game that It was a corner....

He only had to run a couple of feet in that case.

And it said it was from the left, so he's either got lost, changed wings or it was a corner.

All the players from last season have got the same squad numbers, haven't they?

Why is Mark Paston 1# Moss all the way. I hope with these new singings we see some much needed speed in the midfield that was lacking last season.

The squad numbers have not changed.  I suspect Moss is quite happy as 20 seeing as he wore it all last season.

I personally think the number the number one keeper wears isn't important. The players themselves know which one of them is the number one, regardless of the number on their backs.
