I think all us Wellingtonians will die, if the temperature is 25 degrees its about 5 more than we have had all summer.

Good choice, will they have Tuesday's game on for a few of us to go & watch?

Also if a any of the boys have some pre-game tension, the Atami is only next door

While I was very keen to catch up on Tuesday for the game, urgent business in Akaroa (fishing) has called me away for a few days.

Will see you lot hopefully on the 30th.

Before it's a sell-out probably. There's a whole 5 days left. Don't be like one of those plonkers like in November 14 last year and book your flights and hotel and hold off on the tickets.

That festival does look pretty good tbf, Wellington's next greatest Phoenix (Foundation) will be there. Family from Nelson going down for it.

They're not selling the Paul Kelly stand. Best to get everyone on the same side of the ground.

Bad news. Looks like Owusu wont be playing for Adelaide. That's surely improved their chances of a result no end. According to the report Owusus's departure for a trial in China means Adelaide "has been dealt a blow".

Cant wait for saturday, my first real nix game! Its forecast to be 27degees so should help getting a decent crowd not to mention first time the new stand will be used anything over 15k would be awesome. I saw them a couple of years back in a trial game here against a mainland 11 and they got almost 9k I think.

Anyone know where I can get a yellow fever shirt in chch from? I will be checking out sports stores tomorrow.
My prediction Nix 4-2 Adl  crowd 17,256 end to end open game well I hope so as a good game will make certain the crowd comes back next year.

We struggled with McBreen and Owusu and him are similar players. (both hacks but McBreen did score against us)

I Hope you are right on all fronts.
Doubt there will be any RR's on sale - suggest ring RYOS and order one over the phone, knowing them you wil have it before the game.

Enjoy - it's going to be excellent.

Also in an All Whites vs. Malaysia friendly at QEII, the crowd was 10,100. (Actually I'm sure this would've been mentioned before) link

But that was a team called New Zealand not Wellington, although when I talk about football to non-fans they seem to confuse the two.

Observations that will hopefully be reflected in our line up against the Reds;

Temporary back line - last 2 games - 0 points conceding 6 goals, scoring 0.

Preceding 5 games - back four of Hearfield, Dura, McKain and Lochhead - 10 points out of 15, conceding a total of 3 goals in 5 games and scoring 9.

Solid and consistent back 4 key to defense, Hearfield and Lochhead going forward key to attack.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

I got my tickets this morning at ticketek for the lower bowl, I asked the lady how many were left she said 39 so no doubt the lower bowl would have sold out. I think the lower bowl holds about 6.5-7.5k, not to mention all the corporate boxes and members section.

I am very worried about this game. in normal circumstances...if we had the whole week at home to prepare and were playing Adelaide at the ROF then it would be a win.
But the team have been away from home for 13 days...the have travelled thousands of km';s. have been mauled by Perth and Melbourne and now fave there 3rd game in a week.

If they don't lift themselves, if they come into this game flat, then they will lose. I watched Adelaide play Melbourne....Adelaide are not a bad side. We have always struggled against them.

What will be critical will be to get the selection right. lochy back ...please. Troy to RB. Muscat back to DM. An attacking 442 would be nice.

This game is vital for our playoff hopes. We can expect to lose against GC away. We do not want to go to the last game of the season to CCM needing a win in a sudden death situation.
