Yeah I know its the big stand but I want a nice stand to sit in not the Hadlee stand haha.

Hadlee is actually alright. Me and Mr Racist/Incredible sit there for the rugby. it's right behind the goal posts/rugby posts.

ive got a song that wont take long, Adelaide are rubbish.. the second verse is same as the first.. ADELAIDE ARE RUBBISH

I know the Bard On Avon is a footballing pub.  So I'd be keen to meet up there to watch the game.  Anybody else keen?

It's at 8pm, Tuesday, Sky Sport 1 for the record.

EDIT:  While it looks like only me keen I rung the Bard On Avon but they have open mic night and buggered if I'm watching the game with that shambles taking place in the background.  If anyone knows any other football friendly pubs in town give them a ring and then post on here.

the Holy Grail  - I know its not the bestpub but they would have it on.
We shoudl wait till Hard News confirms the YF Pub and go there before confirming though....

Also - had a thought - my ticket says lower bowl to the Deans Stand - I dont think they have been selling tickets to the upper level, so it's only the lower bowl that has sold out?

Deans Stand is full. They have also opened up Tui and Hadlee Stands but who would like to sit behind the goals. They opened the upper Upper Bowl just after 12 today.

Didn't realise you had already been to a football game in the new stand and sat behind the goals since the new stand was open? You are a god.

For those who haven't been before. In all truth I've never seen the stadium that packed when there's no game on

Wait til HN or whoever say what the pub is for pre-game drinks for the Adelaide game then we should give them a ring about Tuesday.  If not there then try the Holy Grail.

That's two of us.  Hopefully more would tag along.

Dependent on when money comes through/flights/work I may join you as well - I can feel your excitement already.

I have discovered I have to travel to Christchurch to get some things I need to study. Therefore I had to use some of my "course related costs" to head south.

My decision to go to Christchurch has absolutely nothing to do with the Phoenix.

So if they have only just opened up the upper bowl then there isn't 13000 sold.  Anticlimax innit.

Need some undercover ticketek staff member to let us know what is going on.

Edit: from ticketek website seems upper bowl open to buy with unallocated seats so all is well.

I cant believe the amount of interest this game is having in the central south. I personaly know of busloads from Oamaru and Dunedin who are making the journey.
Does anyone know if Phoenix shirts will be on sale at the ground?

If its a fine night there will be a huge crowd, i would say 20 thousand plus.

Its the first sport event at the new stadinum.

you would hope so, but just in case - the FRont Runner on the corner of Colombo & Lichfield Streets has them - also quite a range of EPL teams as well.
Don't waste your time at Rebel Sport , they have nothing.

The FrontRunner is worth checking out, also had Phoenix Beanies for sale.

Great to know that has the support from Oamaru & Dunedin - way to go!!!
