Of course matey.

So how many YF are traveling down and keen for Canty v Welly Yf game?

Avonhead would be luxury but miles away from anywhere. Hagley is best option and have posts up. QE2 would be dream too -  already been there a fair bit this summer.

Haha, i've been to Bexley twice.. Both times it smelt of rotten materials and both times it was grey and miserable!!!

Count me out.

I'm flying in early morning sunday, going to my room and looking myself in it until 5. I am then heading to the pub where I will spend an hour w**king on about how much I hate Christchurch. I will then go to the game and sing about how wellington is the sh*t and how Christchurch is sh*t.

I will then head to the pub, before heading to my room where I will lock myself inside until I head to the airport the next morning.

Total time outside: 6 hours.

Sounds like a good idea. For me just depends when am heading into accomodation and when we arrive.

Am really looking forward to this game, bridges the gap brilliantly between ROF home games, would be a massive wait in between otherwise!

I'm playing cricket all day, so i guess won't get to the ground till around 6:30'ish, but i just hope the Yellow Fever Zone thing is sorted, it will suck if those who want to be in the Zone are spread all over the place...

Crown yourself first ball? Or run out all your team mates make it a quick game of cricket

Google tells me it is 15,000 seater stand.  As I am hoping we get heaps there, won't it be a pain with unallocated seating and having groups of 3 here, then empty seats, then groups of 6 there, and you trying to fit your group of 5 somewhere?    And when you turn up to you just go into any gate???

I dunno, maybe I'm reading too much into it.

And it should look good for the cameras which will be filming from the other side of the ground I would imagine  It will be interesting to hear what the acoustics are like compared to the ring of fire.

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

There is a very strong link between Christchurch and the Phoenix imo, it's like we think they should be ours but not in a jealous (Auckland) sort of way. There was never any support like this for the Kingz/Knights, or as far as I was aware anyway.

Hopefully we don't look back on the trip to CHCH as a Highway to Hell, as it is a Long way to The Top if we want to finish with a home semi.

This really feels like the club is just being Kicked in the Teeth Again, having been customers at the stadium for almost 3 years now it's not very pleasant to have them let AC/DC Walk All Over You. It would have been mighty interesting to have been a Fly on the Wall when the decision was made to Go Down.

As a Little Lover of the Nix I want them to be popular all around the country, however, the business end of the season is not the time to give away home games, sadly that's the way it is so I think the boys just need to make sure they draw First Blood early to get the CHCH crowd excited and right behind them. It is imperative that we don't get Shot Down in Flames by the Piss-ants, if we did I'd have a Meltdown because they are complete Riff Raff.

Our defence is Hard as a Rock and the attack like TNT (Dynamite) so let's just keep a Stiff Upper Lip, get down there and f**k Adelaide up.

Oska's mood is Back in Black at the thought of another away home game - he's not feeling Rosie about it at all.  I guess the A-league season is on a Razor's Edge but it's the old problem - Moneytalks!

Still, Christchurch has a good game to look forward to as the nix Shoot to Thrill at the tail end of the season. Mainlanders - Are You Ready to be Thunderstruck?

What Oska says is true though.

Why the f**k should I have to spend sh*tloads to go and watch a supposedly local team?

Understand the stadium problem but Palmy is a lot cheaper and easier to get to than Christchurch.

whoever is organising the yf kickaround - goal posts still up in North Hagley which is close to town, but I was driving past Lancaster Park yesterday and there is a decent space of grass at the south end behind the Tui Stand - no posts but surely some jerseys would do or is the game serious?
Anyway may be an idea to contact the Stadium people if you think this is a good idea?

Silly question, but can anyone explain the logic of there only being tickets for sale for the 'uncovered' bottom tier of the Deans stand?

Are we expected to drown if it pisses down like it did on Friday at the westpac?

Why are there no covered seats available?

Seriously considering going, but will be might miffed to shell out for ferries + hotel if we go just to be rained on. (2 adults + 2 kids = $1300 in airfares!!!)
