Does anyone else think that its pretty big that an A-League game is being shown on FTA tv (Prime) right now? Plenty of Aussie fans are dying to get at least the Socceroos on FTA.

Great game. Electric atmosphere.

Give all credit to Perth. Outside of the obvious Sydney and Melbourne, they are the closest thing to our bogey side. They are not too afraid to play physical and matching us in that department. And look at their team, there is plenty of experience, talent and ability on it. With the 'reward' of hosting Newcastle (which would be IMO an easier game for either side), they did all they could. Even their missed penalties weren't shockers. It was all Rocket Reddy.

Crowd made up for McKain's dismissal in that final period of extra time, when we looked gassed.

March 7, we do it all again.

I had tears creeping in my eyes after they scored the first penalty. I was so scared they might win on the penalties. Foolish boy. First penalty shootout I've seen in a 'proper' live match.

Yeah it was rubbish. And the ads at halftime were ridiculously loud,couldnt even have a conversation with the person next to me,had to literally shout to each other.

Foolish. Lucky bandage,we had it from the 4th minute!

When it got to penalties i had a sinking feeling that Tegal would hunt me down for my post at the beginning of this thread.

 The thought of penalties scared the sh*t out of me. Was funny watching the replay on the tv,every crowd shot,most people had their head in their hands watching through fingers.

Thank god Dadi was relegated out of our top 5 for penalties, especially against them.
And if Reddy wasn't with us we wouldn't have been in the playoffs, let alone still going. Do what you can Tony

oh...and liking 4 options on the bench. Losing McKain gave us Siggy to bring on when we had Daniel still on the bench as well and had used two subs already. May have been Daniel coming on near the end if McKain had stayed on

I took an Aussie along - he's been here three weeks. On his facebook status he had "going to the football, go Perth!"
By the time of the shootout he was wearing my Nix jacket and giving Perth the big "Who are Ya". Jumped for joy with me when we won and has already said he's coming on the 7th.

The only problem with watching this in a bar in Auckland was all the drunk middle-aged men wandering over to attempt to hit on me. 

had to run thru wellington after the game and a hefty sing to the duxton to catch a bus to travel thru the night back to hamilton in time for work. completely worth it!!!
