I am thinking the Fever Zone need to start a chant of "10 More Years", or "We want 10" several times during the game - especially if we're winning. Many of my workmates and friends who have got hooked on the Nix after last week's game have also become more aware of our situation concerning the Asian Confederation. I'm sure a lot of the crowd would join in, and it would send a good message to the FFA - just to add a bit more to the fact that the stadium is (will be) sold out!

i doubt FFA's rules are as inflexible as FIFAs. Will be a cost benefit decision i guess. how much to install versus how much revenue and is the net return worth the niggle

You have to feel a little sorry for Terry, Tony P and the bean counters at the Phoenix. They have got the Nix to where they are today....the money has been real tight every step of the way.
They will be loving it that the phoenix are THE NUMBER ONE SPORTING ATTACTION at the moment.
But they will also rue the fact that FFA takes all the filthy loot from ticket sales.....probably in excess of a million dollars for next weekends game. Its a cruel world sometimes.
But on the bright side. if we have converted heaps more people to the Nix then hopefully ticket sales will be up next season. Also there should be a shiite load of merchandising sold this week....I am assuming the club gets a fair wack out of that.

Plus they get a $6 booking fee on ticket transaction at the club shop, I would hazard a guess maybe up to $60K over the two finals hames? 10K individual transactions?

They kept saying how that sold out but there were about 250 spare seats. Maybe scalpers who couldn't sell them? Regardless I hope the FFA will add extra seats.

Anyone been to any Nix practices the last week ?
I know McKain, Dura and Herbert were away most of the week just gone but would be good to hear practices / players are looking sharp and focused.
I'm also aware Herbert and All Whites are away for most of this coming week.
Such a sh*t build up for such a big game - hopefully minds are on the job as best they can be given absences.
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Anyone been to any Nix practices the last week ?

Not last week but have been reasonably frequently and Trani / Gould always seem to have a really good rapport with the players as well. I am hoping to go on Tuesday so will post after that.
Perhaps not a conventional buildup but some of the most experienced players are the ones staying here eg Ifill / Greenacre so after letting off some steam last week (Friday Dom Post photo!!!!) I think they will actually be a pretty tight unit between now and next Sunday.
In the end, it is what it is - come on Nix. The vibes are with you.
