The jets are my second team but for the sake of the a-league (and my eye candy diet), I hope you win. Just a little concerned about the the upheavel in your preparation.

Mulligan is our only defensive cover. We have Manny and possibly Lia or even Timmy to drop back if needed but i would prefer Mulligan on the bench over Ferrante personally. He won't have to come on, but if he did, atleast we'd have a dead ball specialist
. Otherwise its Rojas which I think is a bit silly as he is an attacking player again and it'd be a whole lot of pressure on the young lad.And then there is also the Diego option which perhaps may be the better choice

COACH Branko Culina has challenged the Newcastle Jets to take the crowd out of the equation when they meet Wellington Phoenix in the elimination semi-final in front of a full house at Westpac Stadium on Sunday.
Only 100 tickets reserved for Newcastle fans remained available yesterday at the 34,500-capacity "Cake Tin", ensuring the visitors are in for a hostile reception.
"There is no doubt it will help the home side," Culina said.
"The important thing for us is to start the game well and not allow the crowd to play a part.
"If we can silence them early by, hopefully, scoring a goal or dominating the game, it will work in our favour. That way we keep them quiet.
"On the other hand if they dominate early and score, it could be a hard day at the office for us."
Phoenix striker Chris Greenacre said the players were buzzing at the thought of a sell-out.
"It's phenomenal; it's given the boys that extra edge," Greenacre said. "Hopefully [the crowd] will be as good as it has been and we can put on a performance to justify the big crowd."
A bright start by the Jets is not only essential for reducing the impact of the crowd, it will also test the energy levels of the home side.
Phoenix vice-captain Tim Brown, Leo Bertos, Tony Lochhead and Ben Sigmund will play for New Zealand against Mexico in Los Angeles tomorrow and do not arrive back in Wellington until Saturday.
Captain Andrew Durante is also on international duty, with the Socceroos, alongside Jets pair Matt Thompson and Ben Kantarovski.
With that in mind, Culina plans to play an up-tempo game a stark contrast to the patient approach in the win over Gold Coast on penalties.
"This game will be all about getting on top," Culina said.
"Against the Gold Coast we wanted to weather the storm.
"Physically there was a question mark about us. We had four or five players coming back from injury who weren't 100 per cent.
"The two-week break in between games has given us a chance with some of the players to get a bit of fitness. We will be better prepared.
"That means we can approach the game in a different way.
"We can be in their faces rather than allow them to dominate.
"If you do it to them, I don't think they will enjoy it.
"And if there is a question mark about their fitness, due to travel or whatever, that will play a big part."
The Jets resumed training yesterday after the weekend off. Tarek Elrich (knee) ran strongly and hopes to train with the main group today.
"Today was an easy session," Culina said.
"It is a different preparation. For Gold Coast we had five or six days to prepare, this time we have 14 days.
"Tomorrow we will pick it up a touch, Wednesday we will do set pieces and Thursday we travel. Once we are there we will start to really step it up."

Mulligan is by far the biggest LOL of them all.
History this season has showed that Ricky's prefered to use Diego over both Mulligan and Ferrante when short-handed in this type of situation, so common sense would say that that will be the case this time too.
The bench will likely be Crowther, Daniel, Diego, Dadi, Costa.
Its no longer a problem.
cheers it wasn't working in the kiwis overseas sub forum for some reason
Can't believe you said that EG.
Disappointed.
...

hopefully all the Nix lads emerge unscathed
