I'd agree with that lineup. Want to see Daniel in the starting lineup and also think Moss should be back for Paston. Hopefully we get to see that lineup.simon_hampton2008-11-12 20:00:58

I like that starting line-up, but I'd drop Gao from the subs bench and put Muscat in there as Costa and Troy are already on the bench. Three young keen guns then ready to give it their all in the final 20.

Though it may be a good time to give Draper or Christie run off the bench.

Come on guys, the game is 11 days away. Are we really that sad that we need a match thread this early?

                     MOss
Seamonster     Durante Dodd         Lochy
                   Marquee-ain    Brown
                               Ferrante
 Bertos                                         Daniel
                                Smeltz

Subs
Paston
Manny
two of (Draper/Costa/Christie/Hearfield)

those last two bench spots are toughies... Hearfield, CHristie and COsta run themselves into the ground when given the chance, Draper I feel would be the same, think it's time for him to have a go.

Liked the 4 - 3 - 3 against sydney, worked really well and certainly gave the bling defence something to think about. If the Nix want to play attackling footy at home I'd go with that!

and yes, its 11 days away, but what else have we got to talk about!

Queenslander 3x a year.

If we have any ambitions of the playoffs, this fixture really has to be a Nix "banker"...

Buggar the playoffs or any other reason for us to win the game. The only reason why a win and NOTHING but a win will do,is i have an outlaw from planecrashtown staying for a month and although i cant get him to go to the game.Should the unthinkable happen and we lose my life will be hell for the next 2 weeks.

Yes the game is still ten days away bu I would like to see:

a) A Nix clean sheet.
b) A winning margin of more than one goal, and
c)                   Paston
             Siggy          Dodd
Muscat                              Lochhead
                 McKain
    Brown               Ferrante

   Bertos       Smeltz         Daniel

Moss
Durante
Hearfield
Draper

At least Van Egmond will be banished to the stands for our game, and the Ring of Fire isn't like a traditional football stadium with the banished managers being only a few metres back from their original places, but he'll be waaaaaaaaaaaaaay the hell up the back somewhere!

I suggest the stadium security place him IN or INFRONT of the YF zone.

I think putting Durante on the bench because Siggy has a good game in CB is a mistake. Siggy plays just as well out right.

And you don't want him to crack.Michael2008-11-13 23:37:27

I'd vote for that (and opt for Hearfield and Costa on bench).

Would be great if we could actually win a game by a 2+ goal advantage

I think (may well be wrong), the last time we won by more than two goals it was the 3-0 home win. Too long between drinks really.

Yeah, and this time Fred will be there to spice things up for us, and give the flair that we need

You can't turn Muscat into a starter after one good game. Durante is consistant.

Hes only had one bad game, both times against Sydney hes played well and before Melbourne he was solid.

I think we should make 2 changes Moss in for Paston and Fred in for Hearfield.

I kind of liked the midfield of McKain, Brown, Ferrante. IMO the reason we dominated Sydney.

When Fred gets slotted in can anyone see a way of keep this?

Bertos, Fred Smeltz up Front
Ferrante Brown McKain
Lochy, Dodd Siggie Dura
           Paston/Moss

Bench

Hearfield
Daniel
Plodder/Muscat
Paston/Moss

Or do you think a different formation would be better to combat the Jets who also use a 433?

and is Fred along for the Jets?
