Interesting to see if Bertsch gets a spot. Saw him training my kids last summer and was quit shocked how "aggressive" he played for team wellington. I thought he had a good presence on the field. Interesting that Ernie gives him regular game time.

3-0 is a bloody good result with all our All Whites out. Good to hear Ifill can still get through 90 mins alright.

Lets remember that bling had young players trialing in the second half. But this season does look promising !

In that case, I'll be surprised if we don't win the league this year and finish top of the table by 15 points.

So when News "finds out" then tells you what I have already told you, that means you will admit you were wrong but more importantly, I was right. It's gonna be a good week for nufc_nz.

Really promising result. Hopefully we can carry this form into the regular season. I hope it's not too early to be saying this, but I think Ernie could potentially take us all the way.. Maybe I'm just dreaming, but it's a nice dream to have!

No sign of team sheets anywhere..?

First the election result & now this together with a hangover. I'd throw a sicky tomorrow if I had any left.

Haven't seen a Sydney line up but this is how the Nix lined up.

Wellington Phoenix: James McPeake (Tamati Williams 45m), Louis Fenton (Josh Brindell-South 70m), Michael Boxall, Luke Adams, Reece Caira, Vince Lia (Tobias Bertsch 37m), Manny Muscat (Justin Gulley 60m), Carlos Hernandez (Alex Rufer 60m), Kenny Cunningham (Hamish Watson 60m), Stein Huysegems, Paul Ifill.

Sydney not putting up any reports or making any acknowledgement of the match.
I somehow think this would be different if we didn't thump them. COYN!

who's Bertsch? Is he a visa spot? Have we signed him? Is he likely to push for a first team spot?

Tobias Bertsch, one of the FSE players. Might be visa spot according to News. No we haven't signed him. Maybe, maybe not. Hard to tell when we haven't seen him play against decent opposition, although it sounds like he was good against Bling

No I'm not.  I can't recall all your gems of ITK that you seem to be fond of alluding to.

So please tell me what you know about Tobias Bertsch.

Berty is ex Lower Hutt AFC.  Young, and from a land called Germany.  He's very hardworking, midfielder.  And awesome.

And to be fair,  you seem capable of getting banned by yourself without help.

If I recall J82, nufc said he spoke with Russell the manager (is that his role) and they alluded that they would sign him if he was not an import. It was something like that.

From what Ernie has said since, it does look that way. He was trying to get his Kiwi passport in time for the u20s, wonder how that is going.

The point of contention was providing a source. Anyway ancient history. Like to find out where is at passport/residency wise

He can't be far away one would assume if he was trying to get it in time for u20s. Also if the kid is smart and realises he is in with a contract, you think he would be all over it.
