It crazy how close we are to the top six, we have still one game in hand and still burned through a coach.

We are not close to the top 6, we are close to sixth. It's quite an important distinction!

I might be a little thick, but aren't we 2 points away from either?

Yours faithfully,

Surely none of the above comments can be counted as lambasting a player? Talking about putting a player on the bench because of form is surely what fans do.

Mindless bashing of players like Lia and A-Rod despite what they do is one thing but if we can't discuss who should go to the bench when a player returns from injury then what are we going to talk about? Auckland public transport?

Just to let you guys know- it was fantastic today. Got pissed and my girlfriend drove me home. Didn't have to puke on a bus or anything...

Tried to get tickets next to the zone (can't be in it due to bring small people who won't understand why Australians are always cheating) and couldn't. Hope that's coz they are sold out...

Posting on phone so maybe not clear.  I think the constant measure of we are x points outside the 6 is a bit silly.  There are no prizes for coming 6th, what you are trying to be is first!  It also implies there is no difference between coming first or sixth - everyone doesn't just "make the six", it's a league and someone actually wins the league by finishing first!

But they dont. Youcan finish sixth and still win the competition ahead of a team thathas won every game until  the playoffs. It's  Why I hate playoffs. They are not a true reflection of who was doing what in the league.

Pregame - It's a bit rough, but they claim not to have any Christmas parties on, and it's closest to the stadium.

No one from outside Top 2 has won it.

I also hate playoffs but at least it gives us an actual chance of winning. :)

I'll be bringing my family from Hungary who are over for Christmas into the Fever Zone on Saturday. A win could really put our season back on track already.

Apparently $29 tickets are all sold out (for sections made available) on Ticketmaster - and yet they haven't made other sections for sale...

Only available section now is section 33, at $23.

Talking about matrix.

I gather the majority of the Yellow Fever will be  in aisle 34 right? will aisle 33 be standing too?

They aren't. Ticketmaster doesn't let you choose you ticket type online. Best to ring them. Seems like it will be an utter shambles

Cheers, I gather the majority are aiming for AIsle 34, right in the corner?

Called Ticketmaster to explain how it was flawed that they are selling tickets via grandstand instead of ticket type, got told to email it in so they can forward it on to the correct people. Will be absolutely frustrated if they tell us to sit down and shut up, will also be a lot less enjoyable if we're all spread out over 2 aisles. Not sure wither to get Aisle 33 or 34 tickets. Will get back to you if I get a reply. Probably too late to do anything about it but we will see :)

I believe the white gumboot is also a popular fashion item there?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

This is the email I wrote to Ticketmaster.

Hello there,

I'm writing in to explain why the way tickets are being sold via the TicketMaster website for the Wellington Phoenix vs Western Sydney Wanderers game on the 17th December at Mount Smart Stadium, may cause trouble and negatively affect fans' experience.

Right now, the only way to buy and search for a ticket is sorted by the grand stand, rather than by ticket type. If someone searches for the cheapest seats, or the Lower East Stand they will automatically be given tickets to the Yellow Fever Zone. This will result in a lot of casual local fans who are there to sit down and enjoy the game to get (the cheapest) tickets in the Yellow Fever Zone.

The Yellow Fever travel to near every game home and away, and are known for standing, chanting and drumming the whole game. The Yellow Fever will be expecting to be allowed to do this, as they are at every other stadium or game. This may cause tension for fans who have unknowingly purchased Yellow Fever Tickets, and want to sit and watch the game, and those diehard Wellington Phoenix Fans.

Also, the website chooses the aisle for you, I do not have the choice between Aisle 33 and 34. This means the core members of the Yellow Fever may be diluted between two aisles, thus negatively affecting their enjoyment for them. The Yellow Fever did not spend money on transport to Auckland and to the game and tickets on the game, in the expectation that they would be spread out, or forced to sit down due to complaints from the casual fans. This looks like the likely scenario unless there is an option to buy tickets via type (i.e Yellow Fever Tickets) instead of grand stand tickets.

It would be embarrassing for the stadium and organisers if this were to be an issue. As a Yellow Fever member myself, I am taking my family from overseas to the game for the first time and would like to give them the full Yellow Fever/Wellington Phoenix experience, however the way the tickets are being sold online may jeopardise this.

I suggest that an option should be added to purchase Yellow Fever tickets knowingly. Fans should only be offered Yellow Fever tickets if they click the 'Yellow Fever Section' option, rather than clicking the 'East Stand' option. To save the enjoyment of both the casual fans and the Yellow Fever.

I hope this email is forwarded promptly onto the correct people in order for a solution to be made.

I look forward to receiving a reply and an update.
