One think I have noticed with Riera is that he does not make the tackle early. In that case, they were countering and rather than get in and make the tackle in their half, he got back into his position first and then made the tackle (in our half). At least that way if he missed, it does not affect the shape too much.

Kenny + reira playing back every time. Boxalls getting up there. But then not knowing what to do. Our play seems very slow and purposeful. .. until we get into the final third
