But again Mandi just not quick enough to challenge the runner as you'd want your DM to.

It's a big worry for me. A good DM needs that burst of acceration. Mandi will be found out quickly.

Excellent, we have our new scapegoat!

I would sub Mandi for Nichols at HT

I don't know why we keep trying to play high balls to Williams and Krishna.

We don't have a midfield who can pass through the lines, so we're making do with what we have.

Part of me wonders if he was robbed of any pace by that serious injury before coming here.

1 Brisbane player. We had about 5 players on the box. No one presses him. (Rufer does, but very delayed) That's a worry

Pretty bloody ordinary all round from both teams.

Hmm, I thought we were OK. Rudan's set us up defensively anyway, so we are going to spend a large part of the game boringly soaking up pressure. We looked by far the better team in the first 20, should've had a goal, then prevented them seriously threatening the goal apart from one missed diving header and a late long range shot.

Compare that to last season when we probably would've have cracked just before half time.

Was quite pleased with the first quarter of an hour, after that it's been pretty average from both sides. We've kept Brisbane quiet though, so hopefully that plays into our hands in the second half and we can launch into some healthy counter attacks. Would like to see Burgess get a decent run in the second half, see if he can give us more going forward.

Wonder if that miss from Taylor will come back and bite us in the ass because at the moment it looks like 1 goal will be enough for the 3 points.

Kurto has had to do very little, with most if their attacks hopeful crosses. We have had the best opportunities which we butchered. happy enough.

Madi struggling in the heat? Another 15 - 20 minute and I think Nicholls will be on.

First 20 mins were were much the better side but seem to be going backwards.

Even contest, but we've had the more clear cut chances with Taylor's miss and Krishna squaring the ball from the byline.

Interesting that Williams is dropping deeper than he was last week. Mandi must be the first candidate to be subbed - surely he can't be match fit?

Been impressed with the passing from Rufer. More incisive and more accurate. Bit concerned about Cacace. He's doing a reasonable job, but this is the second week in a row where he is sitting around 50% pass completion.

Big fan of Rudan on the sideline. Shows proper passion.

Three for me, and two for them.

He's wanting to kick every ball out there. Polar opposite to Ernie.

Should have been a 2nd yellow, late and through the man. Poor reffing.

Some of these balls into the box by Fenton are atrocious. Free man on the corner of the box and he lofts it in to Krishna

Definitely needs some lessons. It's frustrating to watch him cut inside onto his left foot instead of attacking the byline consistently.

There's been some poor balls from set plays from Singh, who's usually pretty good.

Rufer a liability again.

Almost a Rufer error leading to a goal again, perhaps a bit harsh as the pass wasn't great though

Burgess the first sub? Would not have picked that...

Was a hospital pass from Mandi. Rufer had to launch himself at it to try and take the ball.
