Another beauty! Not your biggest fan Mandi, but that was a cracker.

Wow, that bend/dip is huge.  That is an amazing free kick.  Can't blame Janjetovic for being stood up there.

This game is turning out to be a good one to lift my spirits.

Awesome to see two such good goals already, eh?

Go you Nix!!!

It was great. Pity Rufer cheated.  Defender booked and never touched him.

Not true. The commentators completely missed that their guy's trailing leg absolutely 100% got Rufer on the bottom of his foot. Was clear on the slow mo replay.

No worries. It is football.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

We were lucky there that they didnt pull one back

We went to sleep there for a moment and Riera would have scored if not for Kurto's excellent save.

Agreed, he's a good guy and one of the most entertaining players in the league to watch on his day.

Early change for WSW with Tate Russell off for Baumjohann.

Expect midfield strengthening and high pressure from WSW now.

Awesome! First time this season I've let rip with a real whoop for a Nix goal but that was just sublime!

Have a look again.  After he takes the ball (and Fred said he got all ball) he kept sliding with his studs and took Rufer's heel, exactly where Rufer was holding.

And Phoenix responds in style Williams !!

3 nil, smoke flares, and a view of animated Patrick in the stands!

F**k, am I glad this game went ahead (as someone living on the street of one of the attacks).

Awesome goal by Williams!!!

Looks like the players are fully committed and playing their hearts out tonight !!!

I know how you feel since I had the bad luck of driving from the South City Mall home to Redcliffs via Brougham Street last Friday just about 2pm.

I can only say, since the game actually went ahead, it is good to put all our emotions into this game for the 90 minutes that it takes. And we can all think of all the fallen and pay our respects as well.

Get the feeling that we'll be our own worst enemy this match, like last week vs Mariners - taking foot off the pedal, letting them back into it.

If we're 4-up at halftime, hope Sheridan gets some serious minutes.

On another note, really looking forward to the 50th minute tribute <3

WSW have excellent players (Roly, Riera, Llorente, Kamau, Duke, Baumjohann) so it is a mystery why they are doing wrong.  They definitely have a goal in them for tonight, and came close.

The backbone of our team is the same as last season - yet we are a totally different team this year

Only 3-0 up at half-time, a slip in standards since last week, disappointing.

I tried starting my Rudan chant, I won’t be trying again ? someone else can have that one.

Unusual atmosphere, I thought a goal would have changed that but only in the last 5 mins we’ve really gotten into it.

Burgess is having a blinder, unplayable. More of the same in the second please. Stay switched on. Give Cillian a run for a goal.

They've definitely been playing a lot better recently. I think we have just monstered them so far tonight. One of the best halves of footy from the Nix this season. Hope we keep it going 2nd half.

Rudan is the major difference.

The team have some belief in themselves - Fenton, Williams, Rufer and others are looking fantastic this season

Expect WSW to come out the sheds fully revved up.

Hope Rudan told our guys that complacency will not be tolerated.

Can't complain too much about the ref so far (apart from the no foul on Rufer)
