I suspect it is going to be like watching a fat kid seeing Krispy Kreme for the first time.

No we all know that it isnt going to be pretty to watch and will probably end in a pool of tears and regret

is it too late to suggest (ask) for a banner saying something along the lines of "We get it Rudes" - after listening to the full press conference my anger has subsided and I actually feel for the guy, several times through that conference he was close to tears. He clearly loves it here and wants to stay but his kids and wife come first - I get it now and hope that when the chance arises we get him back to finish what he started.

He fully expects us to throw shark at him, I think it would be awesome if we do the opposite and send him off in style and class.

Not a crucial game, just another day. As you were. Will the players still have the drive? Will Rudan's family be in attendance? Will the Yellowfever destroy themselves over a completely normal function that happens to every football club ever? Will journos start asking the real questions?

Or will we win and all be forgotten?

Will the Fever boycott watching the game and stay in the Mezzanine Bar in protest of the Liquor Licensing Laws?

How do the Licensing Laws affect this game?

Easter Sunday??

Clever. And that means what, I didnt ask what day it was. And whats the mezzanine bar got to do with it? Is the question too hard to understand, I really dont care if its fudgeing ramadan or yom kippur either.

If you want a drink at a pub pre-game, you will have to buy a meal to eat with it because of the liquor licensing laws but at the game, its likely they will have the special license and be able to serve booze without the food requirement. So if you want to have a few drinks without having to buy food with it, you will probably have to head along to the stadium earlier

Thank you RR. So you are suggesting the bars will be open at the game. But has that been confirmed?

I'm an optimistic pessimist.
I'm positive things will go wrong.

And that it will not stop us from doing it all over again next time, cause we're hooked

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Sounds like we have the trifecta: the wind, the rain and the Phoenix. Cmon Nix see Melbourne off!

The easiest way to not get boo'ed is to make sure your last home match is a final...

assuming you listened to the presser and you heard him say that the job for this season is not finished. The way I see it he wants to take the nix to the final, he wants this nuisance dealt with so he and the team can focus on going as far as possible.

What's happened to Doyle?

Just noticed he's not even mentioned in the squad for this game.

simple. Doyle Sucs. Sheridan is the best player that they never use. The lines he runs our guys are not up to understanding. Cant believe everyone talking up Gulley. He is a central league player at best. Got completely shown up last week. No sympathy for Rudan. He is taking more players than you think and will give us the tear story. Never trust an Australian. Start the sherriff and we will win. Bench William's and Krishna as they are leaving. Seen their efforts lately?

Williams literally scored a hattrick in our last home game?

Allegedly

Whilst I agree with the point you're making, his last two performances left me wondering how he managed that. God I hope he returns to normal on sunday

The Adelaide vs Melbourne A game tommorow is huge. Adelaide win and we don't have top 4 hopes regardless of if we beat Melbourne B.

Edit - just saw thread title, apparently I mean Melbourne C.

Williams daylight Sheridan especially in terms of style Rudan has trained team to play.

One could be sarcastic and say it depends on who Rudan wants to follow him to wherever next season

I would back that statement completely, and don't believe it is sarcasm.  It's teh behaviour of a coach thinking it is his team, and not the club's,

I also think that perhaps Rudan is backing some of those he had a hand in bringing in.  I can't find any other logic for why he is playing Kopsinski, who almost single handely lost the last two games, except perhaps to show others (maybe Doyle) that only Brand Rudan is important.

As for the BS regarding family, hello... that's what you signed up for mate.  Being away from home comes with ther territory.  Giving the sob story while signing up players behind the club's back....?  What a pathetic hypocrite.

Hmmm..I don't think he would play Kopy if he didn't think he could do a job. By your logic losing games harms his brand..I don't think that's the intent.  Intent is to win and it has hit a speed bump.

Agree.  Rudan seems to think Kopy can do the job.

My point is that perhaps Kopy is not doing the job, and Rudan is somehow oblivious or blind to that.

We have to have a few theories and conspiracies happening don't we?  That's the democratic joy of being a fan.

Kopa's been good in defense over the season, much more so than Doyle imo. Williams has been terrible recently too for example so can't place a player's ability on spells of bad form

And there goes the home final spot (as Adelaide beats Victory).

Do we want to play Victory or Adelaide in the finals?

If Adelaide, we need a win against City.

Denmark: OB Odense  |  England: Charlton Athletic  |  A-League: Wellington Phoenix  |  VPL: Richmond SC  |  AFL: St Kilda  |  NRL: NZ Warriors

Beware, Waterloo quay is restricted to one lane each way Sunday evening! Allow extra time to get to the stadium car park or to travel through from the North and note the whole road (inc. Aotea quay on and off ramps) closes at 10pm.

Let's ALL show up and give them a good send off. Let's be honest, some of that mid season football was the best we have seen from a Nix team for far too many years. They all deserve some acknowledgement for it. Coaches included.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

I would love to be at the match this evening but I accepted a better offer in another city.

My kids would like to see more of me at home too.

Sorry Ruds, you can't have it both ways.
