I can only imagine it was a belter, based on comments here so far.

Just said "it didn't hit my fudgeing hand" on live tv, then the interview was cut.  Nothing bad, and i've got no problem with what he said, but some will and he may cop a fine, the other players should have protected him from that.

Disappointing. Only positive from me is that we seem to be working the whole 90 minutes in these games. 

Otherwise whatever is happening isn’t working. I’ll give the losses to Perth and Sydney a pass because to me they’re the two best teams in the league (Champions and faux champions). This game should’ve been at least a point though, and losing to WU was just sloppy but first game of the season and I give you a pass. For all the chances we create (not in this game) something just isn’t right. The team looks so disjointed. Where’s the width in attack and the support for the FBs on defence. Why are these players jockeying like it’s FIFA 20, put a damn foot in. All credit to Waine for his energy and grabbing a goal and Ball for his hard work but feck the rest. There’s no reset button preseason is over BOYS (BOYS).

As for the VAR blunder, first of all, whatever the decision is, accept it, no good bitching about it, Right or wrong, we’re wasting our time bitching. That ref just irks me too, got a few choice words about him that Raindow Fever wouldn’t appreciate so I’ll leave that open to your interpretation.

that Hooper starting thing was weird for our set up. Changing two players at half time isn't ideal. 

We're making too many excuses across the board. Can't say we deserved any of these games. At least we've scored a couple in this game. I'd say we need to score at least 2 to get anything from a game 

it is absolutely beyond belief that anyone with half decent eyesight could see a slow motion replay of that incident and not draw the conclusion that the decision was incorrect. Just unbelievable.

Start docking the referees wages. They might then start paying a bit more attention to arrive at the correct decision. Until the league sorts the referees out, the product will always be shyt. 

I wonder if they did that intentionally, knowing he'd tell the truth and get a fine and or suspension. Louie, I got $20 for you towards the fine.

Can kind of understand the ref giving it, it's whoever is making the VAR decisions that need the sack here. I feel the slow motion replays, with a bad frame rate, often make things look worse than they are... it annoys me when they only show the replays in slow mo. Although even in slow mo and every angle they showed, this never looked like a penalty.
