Well, we still lost despite all the cliches about 'taking positives' etc etc.
Certainly don't help ourselves at times.
4 games, zero wins. Some good signs but many of the old failings remain - poor defending, misplaced passes, stupid fouls, and needless bookings.
We are about three decent players short of a really good team !
The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

Brockie certainly has the ability to be anonymous for 89 mins of a game and then score a spectacular winner. I'd go with him at the moment.

I think Ernie has to take it on the chin for playing such a high line against the Victory speedsters - it was asking for trouble. That combined with Durante's poor positioning (caught the wrong side of the attacker repeatedly) in the first 30 minutes and it was all over.
Despite that I think Ernie's desired style is starting to show through - we played a shit load of good quality football - next to no hoof ball and some very nice interpassing in the middle of the park.
I thought Ciara really showed he will get forward - fair enough he's taken the first few games to settle in to his defence responsibilities and now has the confidence to push forward. Give Fenton a few more games to get up to match fitness and he'll do the same.
I think Ermie now knows he needs Carlos + 3 in the mid-field.
Once we get through this clusterf#&k of a travel schedule and settle in to a normal pattern of home (as in played at Westpac) and away games then I think we'll come good.

Thought that Ernie made exactly the same mistake Ricki made last year with the same results - playing a high line against one of the fastest teams in the league; ended with the same result too. Changed it to how it shouldve been at half time but by then it was too late. Really frustrating.
Can someone explain the reasoning behind this? Whenever teams played a high line against Ernies Victory they got destroyed too so its ludicrous that he didnt realise.
