Can't argue with that Jag. I find myself disagreeing with almost all his opinions and have a problem with his dismissive attitude towards anyone who disagrees.
There is little to like about Radio Sport since they got rid of Miles Davis.
That's hardly a ringing endorsement either.
Matt Gunn was a legend
I hope my sarcasm radar is broken cause Matt Gunn was a complete cock. Gunn soapboxed it all day, Johns talks a lot cause no one rings in cause he is boring as hell. Telfar I can't stand but he does incite opinion. I personally prefer Vietch because he can change his opinion, listen the masses and he doesn't usually stick the knife in.
I wish Devlin was still about. Graeme Hill too.

I don't understand why this even matters? Which HAL winning coach has had it? Which current HAL coach has it - Farina?
Frank is usually drunk when he is charismatic..

I removed the Stuff app off my phone on Tuesday night after the tirade of "opinion" pieces that came through. And who the f**k is this Danny Hay guy I keep hearing them qoute? Wasn't he on that kids programme Spot On in the 80s?

Good leaders / motivators tend to have charisma, no?

Um....pretty sure it isn't.  You really need to stop trying to shut down debate on here

I agree with Doloras.  This is a c0ck up media wise.  This should have been an easy sell.  Mutual consent, thanks Ricki for the memories, but here's the message to the fans, we've made a change because the results weren't good enough and we're moving on. They've tried to preserve Ricki's reputation by giving him the opportunity to resign but it's left the whole thing very muddled.

Sacking Ricki, whatever its merits for the club's future, was an absolute media disaster - it gave knobs like Telfer and Danny Hay oxygen. However, everything's been an absolute media disaster this year, so perhaps THAT's what I really want to see in 2013/14 - a media manager.

I read in some article the other day that Russell is both kitman and media manager?!  The tone of the article suggested this wasn't a joke as far as I recall!  Can anyone verify this?

I think Russel is an ex-journo so he drafts press releases etc

What did they quote Russell as saying? 'I didn't sign up for this'

I feel for him. Interesting that article basically points the finger at YF for the start of this cock up. A load of shyte.

This is a day of instant access news. Traditional media have learned this slowly but first to the news/source/exclusive is everything. Just cause Shabby broke it does not imply its our fault. Herberts manager based on what Shabby has said, is the one that needs to be shot for his loose lips. Bottom line is, if you have something you don't want getting out in advance, don't tell anyone about it.

Come on JD. We all know that Mutual consent is interpreted it being sacked.

You can speculate as much as you want. But given Morrison and Dome both independently told me the same story last night, I'm gonna believe them.

I doubt whether the owners would have sacked him before the end of the season. Just gut feeling.

I kinda think this as well. I have no doubt that it was unlikely he would have stayed on after the review as coach. Its also unlikely they would have pulled the trigger now. If so, why now when we are in the shit and no chances of the play offs, when they could have done it earlier when we still had a shout and given someone else a chance to chase it.

Normally I'd agree but I suspect this time, Ricki walked. A conspiracy theorist could conclude that he was fired to save money...

He jumped - fact.

He was forced to jump - speculation.

I haven't given an opinion at all. Just stating facts. Which funnily enough you've been doing while defending attacks on ricki in the recent past (and rightly so) before he got sacked.

So when Ricki said last month that quitting wasn't in his nature... he was lying? Putting on a brave face?

I point out in particular that he "jumped" right after a much-improved performance against Adelaide.

You're still speculating.

He may not have been lying at the time, then decided to quit later. He may have been pushed after all. We don't know. All we know is he resigned. Anything else is speculation.

Did you see in the paper this morning [might have been the Dompost] that RH's manager is a fucking dentist...... So Shabba's informant was probably just someone who was going to get a filling done or a molar removed rather than the sports superstar we probably all thought he was....

What are you wanting Doloras, a medal?

Ricki is gone now. The hows, and what ever else is largely irrelevant. He was coach Monday, Tuesday he was not. What difference does it make? The end result is the same. I find it a bit funny considering you were a support of him. This dead horse has also been flogged into a BK burger so really, I ask you, what are you expecting? I'd also like to point out you had a moan about someone else mention Ricki 5 times yet you want to debate how Ricki has left? You really are psychitzophrenic.

I see an interesting theme with you. You were stead fast around Terry and then Ricki. Does change scare you?

Fucking hell. First it's "Sack Ricki" or "Don't sack Ricki". Now he's gone it's "He resigned" v "He was Sacked". Jesus wept!

Whatever the reason, however he went, he's gone. Time to move on, people.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
