Yep - assume the same thing has happened with him being released so he can play for United again once he's recovered from his glandular fever.

Back to speculation, we have one u20 spot free don't we? Guessing that will go to Singh.

Would think so, gotta lock him down long term

With Orient being relegated from League Two, their Aussie keeper Alex Cisak might be looking for a new gig. He was called up to the Socceroos squad for some qualifiers not that long ago.

I really don't understand why Singh didn't get any real gametime (same with Rogerson) when we were out of finals contention. Didn't even get on as a sub in the last game.

yeah they should have in that last game. A byproduct of the uncertain coaching situation I suppose, Des and Greenie would have put their best side out as a chance to prove themselves worthy of coaching the side next season. If they'd been locked in to coach next season already I have no doubt they'd have played some younger guys like Singh.

reckon if we kept it at 3-1 for longer, we would have seen Singh. Hardly a good place to blood the young attacking player when we are getting torn to shreds at the back, like we were after halftime.

Can I suggest that pages 8,9 and half of 10 ars out of the complete frustration of any lack of communications on pretty much any matter from the club. A brief mutual release from a conteact is not enough. I think fans want to know what the club are going to do about it as in a replacement and where and when they might be looking. But really, we here fudge all on anything from the club. We here more on here and even more assumption and speculation. And although  it is great for this site, the club are losing some serious positive PR by saying little.

I'd love to know one club in world football who let fans know about the players private life, and any personal details that might be going on in a players life. I'd also like to know which clubs publicly announce who their transfer targets are. Seems to me like some people are being far too precious about this "lack of communication", because as I see it, it's no different from any other football club

Does the U20 spot screw him up in any way in terms of playing for WU and/or WeeNix in ASBP? ie one less senior player we can drop for ASBP, and/or him no longer being able to play over winter.

Singh finished his 30 day stand down Friday - Saturday.  Allowing him to play foe WU.  So he is a free agent(most likely gentlemans agreement not to sign for another a-League club). Did McGarry get resigned after WU last year?

saying family reasons I think would have stopped any conjecture out there and would have been a better choice of words

Assuming it is not really just personal reasons that is

I am not interested in their private lives. I am interested in how or if the club are going to replace him. Jesus wept. Read the message before jumping to the wrong conclusions.

Isn't it self-explanatory that they will replace him?

So our first transfer will be a new coach. who do we want?

I agree with the God father and think that Ramon has to be on the top of our list. I know there has been talk in the past about the nix and him not seeing eye to eye, but i think its time to move on and have him work for us.

if we dont go Ramon, who else is out there? Rudan was rumoured last time, but i thought that was more because he was a former commentator and foxspots new him. Mike Mulvey is coaching in some backwater and he did well at the Roar, so he could be worth a shout.

anyone else coming to peoples minds?

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Was the weekend retweet correct - Ryan Lowry has a 2 year deal ?

Worth looking at this positionally... for the 17-18 season

GK: Sail

RB:

CB: Durante, Rossi, Fox, Lowry

LB: Doyle

CM: Ridenton, Rufer

AM: McGlinchey, Finkler, McGarry

FW: Barbarouses, Krishna, Parkhouse, Rogerson

So that leaves eight spots open - one of which has to go to a goalkeeper, and one of which has to go to an under-20 player, which would almost certainly be Sarpreet Singh?

Then there's six, and a maximum of two foreigners allowed among them (unless the keeper is one, in which case one).

Where is Krishna at with regard to being a local player?

Looking at how we get to eight...

1. Goalkeeper,

2. Singh

3. A first-choice, out-and-out right back

4. A defensive midfielder

5. Another central midfielder, but not one like MM or GF

6. Probably another wide option

7. A striker

8. (or two)

Could easily go Moss, Singh, ????, Lia, Rodriguez, Fenton, ????, ????

Keeping it local: Moss, Singh, Gulley, Import, Hudson-Wihongi, Lewis, Stevens, Import

Fox/Lowry/Ridenton to back up RB, Parkhouse to back up LB

personal take- think ballane is wrong on this one. It's fair enough given the nature of our season to dispel speculation and rumours which might incorrectly add to dissatisfaction with the club.

Lots of things might, but it seems this isn't one. I'm happy to hear that and it doesn't compromise anyone's privacy.

Can Lowry also deputise in DM?

Need another quality left or right back by the look of that list. Anyone stand out from those off contract in other clubs that we might have a chance at picking up?

Left Backs: Scott Galloway, Michael Neill (pretty sure he can play either side, but mainly played at LB), Marc Warren

Right backs: Jake Adelson (done 2 ACLs in past two years), Daniel Mullen (CB that plays RB), Brendan Hamill (CB that plays RB)

And there is Shannon Cole, known more as a winger but he has played fullback in the past.

I'll take one Marc Warren, please.

Apart from Smeltz, have we ever recruited anyone from Perth?

I would think Lowry cam from there, so there is a precedent?

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

We need more competition for 'worst professional full-back to ever play for the Nix'?

Regular starter on good coin at Oceania Club of the Century with great facilities, located in the heart of a thriving cosmopolitan metroplis, in the sporting capital of Australia vs squaddie in Wellington. Hmm...

Kotahitanga. We are one.
