Could be   That's Viduka looking on, thinking "I bet that comes in really handy when you're cleaning out your gutters" Jag2008-01-15 08:48:01

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Even better when he encounters the "Long Arm of the Law!

His sporting hero is Lance Armstrong......

On a more serios note. Imagine haveing Phillips in the team. He would screw with the opposition defence. I think Terry and Ricki should definetely try and thread him in to the squad. He would easily hold down a starting spot in the line up.

So, what you're saying is that you think Phillips would be a permanent fixture in the team as long as he nails  the chances that come his way. Fair enough, as long as he doesn't try and screw more cash out of us than he's worth or make a bolt for it if he gets a better offer from somewhere else.....

I guess it depends on how big his head is and whether he slots in to the Wellington Culture. Opinions could be galvanised on this one but as long as he doesnt act like a tool I can't see why things wouldn't work out.

Benito Carbone has any one ever thought about him as a marque other than elrich.
was great for bling

If we get him, our offensive record is gonna be nuts. We'd be bolting into the top four - assuming we can nail our defensive problems.

Bertos, Coyne, Durante, Philips, Joel Porter seem the main ones.

Carbone was superb in 1 game for Sydney, okay in the next and then injured.  Hard to claim he's a world beater on that limited display.

Sorry i haven't gone thru all 18 pages of this thread so this may have been posted, but i heard about 30 seconds of  the Football Show hosted by Andrew Dewhurst on Sunday night on Radio Sport, where he said apparently Porter and Durante have signed and also Ben Sigmund has agreed terms but nothing signed.

Aus papers say Durante has a two year offer from us, but is also still talking to newcastle.

Actually i went to the Radio Sport Audio Bank and listened to the interview he (Dewhurst)  did with Ben Sigmund, who says he has spoken to Ricki and is waiting and hoping he gets a deal offered to him, certainly didn't sound like he'd been offered one, only that they'd talked. Actually Sigmund sounded a little desperate to be honest.

I'd have to say i'd like us to sign him.

I'm sure Aucklnad City wont be wanting to palm him off to us. He is handy at the back and they would be left a bit shorthanded at the back. There is enough tallent around so they wouldn't be stumped for choice

So what are you saying?  Injury baggage?  Will the team have to carry him?

Personally, I hope he'll give the boys a lift.

As long as he doesn't upset the apple cart.

And I hope it doesn't all end with being shown the door.
