4-3-3 (which is really 4-5-1) sucks.

Bit worried about Friday now, even though Ifill has been crap.

Lia was playing in Lockhead's position last night - deep defensive on the left, so will be in the starting mix. Best to get Ifill right at this stage, and find out what some others have got.

guess if ifill is out then marco or toto might get a shot??? and perhaps a NQF without payne and cernak is a good chance for them?

You're lucky Chris Payne isn't playing. He'd dominate again like the last time he played you sheep shaggers.

I'm tipping a 1-0 win to the mighty NQF. Goal in the last seconds of injury time the Chrissy Grossman to give the yellow fever (use are named after a mosquito born disease, lol) a bit of dejavu.

I guess in the North they do start drinking at 9am.

Ugandan international, Eugene Sseppuya did not travel with the rest of the Fury squad to Wellington due to a problem with his visa. The Club is currently seeking advice on the situation and will know in the next 24-hours as to whether it will be possible for Eugene to travel to New Zealand in time for Fridays Hyundai A-League match.

We're not the only team affected by in injuries - Fury have their share as well;

"Still missing for the North Queensland outfit are dynamic duo Chris Payne and Isaka Cernak (national team duties), Dyron Daal (hamstring), Adam Casey (calf tear) and Andre Kilian (foot injury)".

I think the fact he is not playing is more a negative for us than anything else.

NQF must be taken seriously with great respect!!! Any cmplacency on top of Ifill's lingering injury may give us a shock surprise.

Btw, why are the poeple not coming in droves?????????
If weather is good on Fri nite, will many more people walk up and enjoy????????

Unfortunately Eugene Sseppuya will not be able to take his place in the Furys squad for Fridays Hyundai A-League match against Wellington Phoenix due to the status of his visa.  The North Queensland Fury sort advice in advance of the team travelling to New Zealand and was led to believe he had the correct immigration documentation to enter the country.   Eugene will now travel to Sydney on Saturday to meet up with the squad ahead of the clubs matches against Sydney FC and Central Coast Mariners.

8-10k for the 8th game of a 30 game season is good in my view. Unless we start building towards finals I dont think we can expect much more than that, and if we dont keep winning at home and entertaining it wouldnt surprise me to see crowds drift into the 6-7000 region during the "grind" period of the season - games 10-20ish. It's a long season now and not easy to keep the public excited throughout.

Hmm.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Basically I'd be happy with 9 000 for this game but I'm not holding out hope.  Bigtobz bet me to it, a Dyron Daal-less NQF is a fierce proposition!  With regards to Eugene being denied a visa, could that reflect badly on an NZ team in the competition or is it their problem?  Thinking further about it I've decided on a team line-up (I know you guys have all been waiting for this one so I hope it doesn't disappoint):

                    Vukovic

      North      Siggy      Durante

                 Muscat

      Lia                   Brown

Bertos                               Daniel

        Greenacre      MacAllister

Subs: Paston, Toto, Ifill, Ward.

yeah i'd agree with this.
Speaking of crowd numbers, why is GCU lacking any kind of crowd? Watching on TV last night looked like no one was there... Have they always had bugger all at their games? Pitty we cant all go to our away games in Gold Coast as we'd out number the home side!

Their owner has a crowd cap on- 5000 I think. They used to have more attending- but never much more than 5000. Due to the fact that the owner is a toss-pot, GCU games are incredibly dull (except against us), and that there really is minimal interest in the football on the Coast, the numbers have dwindled to be incredibly embarrassing.

If the weather holds there will be a far bigger walk-up crowd than 1200 I'd think/hope

His dietician told him to get into sport of some nature. The idiot went and bought a football club, as opposed to getting off his pie-eating arse and going for a walk.

I don't think that is what his dietician was getting at.

I'm pretty sure that officially the crowd cap is flexible now, i.e. 5000 seats initially available then more released if there is demand, no nobody will actually be turned away. Not that GCU come anywhere that number, they're prettymuch a massive joke

What has the fact that the owner is a toss-pot got to do with poor crowds?

its pretty simple to me - its his club, not the communities club. I wouldnt want to support the nix if terry didnt give a sh*t about the fans. He needs to include the community I think

The supporters of Man U hate the owners, but 70000 turn up every week.
Your comment is nice but not realistic.

Stuuuuupid.

Are you comparing a club with United's history (and funnily enough it hasn't always been owned by the current owners) to a two year old? The community a tad involved methinks as it started up and etc...

Can we get back to the game?

If he is at 50/50 I would rather see Daniel play (that hurts to say) and have ifill on the bench where he could be used in say the last half hour (subject to him being that fit i suppose)

I'd say give Daniel a go, you never know what he might be able to do out there.

If he's useless then we can put Ifill on in his place. I'd rather not risk too much on Ifill either though.
