I just spoke to ticketek, wanting to get a half price childs ticket. Turns out the booking fee over the phone is $8.75, meaning the cost of the ticket is $4.50+8.75= $13.25, which is only $1 cheaper than buying a normal child ticket over the phone. I wonder if the Phoenix know that the half price tickets mean that people are only saving $1.

So unfortunately we still dont know the answer, whitby boy didn't purchase enough yet for it to come into question.

I would assume that it's one per season pass but not completely sure... if anyone finds out, or they ring ticketek, please let us know! I will likely buy some early next week to get my pax hit so will advise then if we dont know already

I'm figuring there will be a limit, but surely more than one? It says 'Child and adult prices only', nothing about any limit.

If I can get 4 peeps along instead of 1 for their first Nix game surely that's a win for club?

However I am on hold with ticketek now to check. 7 minutes and counting.... grrrrrrrrrr

The guy at ticketek said 'there doesn't appear to be a limit' on the number of half price tickets per season ticket holder (he did appear to doublecheck on the system)....... I will take that at face value for now!

I may be accused of being an Adnan sympathiser, or come across as being a pussy, but to me, almost any attempt to reference his missed penalty on 14.11.09 would be in rather poor taste. This poor guy had to endure the pain of self exile from his homeland, being forced into public confession about his "crimes", and have friends be "pressured" into turning on him. All of allegedly being involved in peaceful pro-democracy demonstrations after his cousin was shot in the head during an earlier protest. Seriously the guy should be admired for his strength of character to come back from everything that's happened in his life. I'm all for light-hearted ribbing of players but I'm ready to let this one go on balance. After all, as quite rightly pointed out by some earlier posters, we should be thankful for his missed penalty which had a big influence in our World Cup qualification. He pretty much did us a favour rather than do anything against us.

Ahmad, you are SUCH a nice guy........

But no chance

Want to know the irony? He won't care.

The first time I met him in Dunedin I was a little tongue-tied and didn't get to say much. I really regretted that knowing there was unlikely to be another chance for me to meet him.

Our paths crossed again - I went to him and he seemed a little curious at my enthusiasm for him. He asked me "do you know who I am?".

I replied "what do you mean? I know you are Sayed Mohamed Adnan...but...".

He responded "I'm the guy who missed the penalty...".

Sure he would obviously feel gutted at missing that penalty but looking at what he's overcome in his life since then I know he's got a greater strength of character than I do, and I dare say most of us sitting down in computers in our care-free lives.

Sure, heckle him for his missed penalty, but as I said I doubt he'll give a sh*t. He's classier than that, and I reckon much of Yellow Fever is too.

Thats Berisha. In Dunedin we chanted 'You've got bird sh*t, you've got bird sh*t, YOU'VE GOT BIRD sh*t ON YOUR HEAD, you've got bird sh*t on your head."

Again, I'm all for heckling Berisha, but please no racism. Leave that to the Sydney fans.

This is correct - adult or child only as student tickets are already "discounted".

Yet you can get half price kiddies tickets for $4.50? Damn. Ah well, $15 isn't too much for students to pay, so I'll try and drag along as many people as I can to the game.

Kiddies aren't regarded as discounted - kids just pay less. Where as students are a sub-class of adults Seniors won't be further discounted either.

Fair enough I suppose. Would've been easier to convince more people to come if they only had to pay $7.50 though.

If you are a regular fan, and you are going anyway, don't you feel bad getting yourself a cheap ticket?

Don't you WANT the club to be better off financially?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

no i don't as i am bringing 6 others that normally do not come and i still have to fill the car with petrol and drive 2.5 hours to watch so any saving is good for me.usually i would come myself and have to pay all the cost myself so this way it brings in extra people and i get a cheaper day out,
also the club will not be losing as a crowd over twice maybe three times larger than the norm will still be making more money than with only 6,000,i think you are being a little bit harsh,i realise you are just looking out for the club but one cheap deal out of the whole season is not that unreasonable

Bit strange you should post a comment like that. When in another thread you were talking about getting merchandise made other that the official Phoenix gear.   "Don't you WANT the club to be better off financially?"

No need to question holeinones loyalty at all.The effort that he has put in to see games since season one is outstanding.

Same ,and I did notice when mad dog Berisha was losing the plot in Sydnee,  he was trying to calm the whole situation down ,I think despite being an awful penalty taker he seems like a good sportsman in attitude !

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

A couple of things.

Firstly: I was not questioning Holeinone, or anyone else's loyalty. Sorry if it came accross toyou that way.

What I meant was, I now have the opportunity, along with other season members, to buy 1/2 price tickets. And, in all honesty, I am torn over the opportunity. On the one hand I DO want to see another big crowd. The bigger the better. But on the other hand I am not sure that massive releases of cheaper tickets is ENTIRELY a good thing.

Hopefully what happens is people who have never been before come along, and love it, and want to come back... I hope so. However it can also ( a ) create an expectation for cheap tickets, and ( b ) cause people who were otherwise going to go anyway to not buy full priced tickets, and hold out for discounted ones.

Secondly: Regarding merchandise, I respectfully rebut your claim and say you don't know what you are talking about.

I spend PLENTY on official merchandise. I am not trying to claim I spend more than anyone else, but I have a stripey, two caps, two scarves, a couple of beanies, 4 of this season's yellow fever t shirts and a black Phoenix polo. In the last week I have purchased 3 large Phoenix flags from Ryos, and intend to take all three of them to the Roar game now that we are allowed to take decent sized flag poles. I will give them to other people to wave.

I am only making banners (and planning on making flags such as 3 metre square ones) because banners of that type, and flags of that size are simply not available commercially. If they were... if I could walk into Ryos and buy a 3 metre x 3 metre flag with the club logo on it, I'd be there waiting for the doors to open.

Sorry if i got it wrong wasnt talking about banners at all.If they arnt made by the club that cant be taking any revenue from the clubs.

I recall a discussion about scarves, sorry if that wasnt you.

Wont even bother getting into an talking about purchasing "Official"  gear. As her indoors continues to query me when i come home with another item.

Yes, I was suggesting Yellow fever could make scarves.

But, that was only because of a somewhat widely expressed disatsifaction, or at least 'puzzlement' with the change in the official scarves to a largely black and white design when the team strip has become more and more yellow.

I guess if you have an issue with fan organisations making scarves, you must frown upon yellow fever t shirts too, since every time one of us buys a yellow fever t shirt we didn't buy a Hyundai A League official merchandise t shirt?

Whatever. You're free to your opinion.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Me? I have a season membership, so I'm not looking for a ticket for myself anyway. I'm looking to bring a bunch of people who have never been to a Nix game before, so I'm hardly ripping off the club, I'm helping them. KiwiChick12012-02-05 18:31:02

Yes, the yellow on Friday night was his fifth.
Dura, Brown and Lochhead all on four, but the slate is cleared after this game (21 matches).  However, if they get a yellow in this one, they'll miss the trip to CCM.
