yip it must be him then. No other way about it.

Fallon released recently, not really what I want, but would do a job for us. But would honestly prefer to aim for a different style of player.

Golf club to the knee puts you in the group. Tho I'm not implying anyone does that.

Article about Durante back in wellington is good new. Glad to see him so commited to the club, who knows, he may still put on the white shirt one day?

Interesting noise coming from him though, he has said he is very interested in who we sign with our import spots, and he is looking for a striker and someone in the hole. Which is the exact thing we want to be hearing.

Hopefully Ricki is on the same page-it said the two talked yesterday so heres hoping Ricki is looking at these spots, because that is great news for me.

But that would mean we could only have ten men on the field if you played...

Herbert looking for a keeper:

Good sign or what?

"Herbert still has to sign his three youngsters but will hold off until after August's under-20 World Cup when New Zealand will compete in Colombia.

He didn't feel the level of competition in the recent Oceania qualifiers was good enough for him to make any conclusions on players and wanted to see them in a pressure situation.

One would be a central defender, another a fullback who could play on either flank and the third a midfielder who could fill in a number of positions."

Didn't see enough of them to comment - anyone have any ideas on who the U-20's would be? Who is looking the most promising?

Really good stuff coming from RH

International striker and creative midfielder is exactly what we need to take our team to the the top. And im happy that he is looking at three young kiwis.

I guess the ones who could be options are: Musa, Rowe, Chettleburgh, Branch, Lucas, maybe Sole?

Please tell me Ricki's not going to sign Ant Hobbs.

RH also mentioned that he's looking for someone with A-league experience. Would that be one of the striker/midfield spot or the 3 yoof vacancies? I hope we get a creative midfielder somewhere from outside Aus or NZ. We need fresh ideas/talent in that position. could make all the difference. We'll probably buy a striker from within A-league IMO.

Is Liam Reddy free at the moment? Clearly playing for the Bling wasn't good for him.

could see paston becoming what gould was before he left; goalkeeping coach who is second-in-line to new keeper (providing new keeper is good enough quality). hope paston does stick around though.. has the potential to become similar to Reuban Wiki, a club icon and hero

He wouldn't be keen to sit on the bench.

Think current reserve keepers.

Doesn't he like Gateau anymore?

Musa has got to be signed up for another year, I reckon.
Don't know about anyone else but think he might have a good future at CB with the right coaching.

Sounds like Luke Rowe is on the radar too. He's likely to be released from Birmingham.

Yeah so maybe its a toss up between the two?

I think after one year with Musa, they gotta give him another few more. He seems to have quite a knack for scoring from corners too.

Another theory, Gouldy was always the one who really admired Musa if I remember correctly, and now hes gone, RH doesnt feel as obliged to keep him?

If Musa can perform at the world cup, i think he'll prove a good case for himself to RH

On the other hand if he performs too well at the world cup he might prove himself to someone else. Double edged sword holding off on signing players until after the cup. I can see Rickis point though, from watching the first half against the Solomans (endless longball) and the 2nd against Vanawatu (complete bog) no one really stood out to me.

By the sounds of it they want a U21 centerback, wingback and midfielder.

I'd say we're in the running for:

James Musa/Nick Branch - CB
Luke Rowe - LB/RB/CB
Andy Bevin/Sean Lovemore MF/ST
