Damn I thought I had several more weeks before I had to start thinking about stripes...incidentally any news on yellow fever t-shirts this year

HA !  We're about 6 months late on our White Noise plans, let alone Fever gear.

Suspect we'll be looking at July.

I still like my old white noise shirt

I reckon their new away kit looks class

That i would disagree with, the strips look terrible. why cant they just keep it the same as they have done for the last two seasons??? Or is that illegal now? Their old uniform has looked good against the other teams.

Ok i think we need a bit more yellow, but not in a stripy fashion

They make us look like we are worried about weight,

and they make us look like United from england.
Which begs the question, if we look like them, can we play like them??

Black is slimming (hence HN's collection of Kingz gear). You think if we were concerned about looking porky we'd have added more black, not less

(yeah yeah, I know, vertical stripes...)

Yes, because a team known as the magpies are well known for playing in Yellow and Black.

The club badge has stripes, the club colours are stripes... the only reason we didn't start in them was Reebok being numpties.

Wait...how can anyone comment on our strips when they haven't seen them worn yet? The mockups looked good but our sponsor could be KFC or something.

Any links?
From what I can remember the leaked images are rubbish quality and can be found a few pages back.

Oh, those are still pretty much mock-ups I believe.

Now that we've had 33 pages discussing stripes, I'd like to register my preference for them to go with white rather than black shorts

That's a bloody horrible strip. I know we live in the southern hemisphere but does everything have to look like a rugby/league strip?

Because thats the favoured sport here, so everything has to look like it

Yes but I think we have conclusively proved here many times that Rugby is rubbish, so why are we still having their rubbish strips, (iniforms lol), pushed on to our sport?

Victorian sports teams in lots of codes have long had the big 'V' signifying Victoria.  It's got nothing to do with league or even Aussie Rules. Hard News2009-05-05 13:56:25

I'm ok with the idea of stripes as long as they are not horizontal. (lets face it we've all seen Lone in his QPR top).  (lets face it we've all seen Lone in his QPR top)

Good question.  I haven't thought about the socks.
The white shorts idea comes from not wanting to look like other teams (one in particular) but also because I think it could work.

I suppose white socks, not sure

Homophobe.

Either black or yellow shorts, white will look mis-matched. Socks don't matter as much, white, black ot yellow will all fit.

My preference is wth El G, black Shorts and yellow socks.

No stripes.  But quite a big fan of
Sriwijaya F.C's strip.  Especially their away green shirt: a beauty.

I liked the look of those melbourne kits on paper, but they just don't look good on.  The white away one needs to have white shorts and sox...

what's with all the noob forum dwellers commenting on the new kit, which isn't even yet available. All the speculation and moaning is becoming quite a bore. Stripes were always going to an option givin that the badge has stripes - why moan about something that hasn't been produced yet - they may come up with an awesome design!
