Just checked out 2 X adult concession (God we're getting old, the years are flying as high as the Nix)(Should be $20 X 2) & 3 kids(Free), Row AA Aisle 19. Went to the check out $80. $35 Parking.
Are you sure you haven't added the tickets to your cart twice? You can book multiple events in one transaction on Ticketek now.

It totals to $40 for me.

Oh? I'll try again Patrick. I don't think I booked twice. The first application was in the zone and it said there were not enough seats available together, so I switched to Aisle 19. Thank You.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

No doubt that this match will be a test for us but we have the advantage. Rufer and Payne totally fresh. Fingers crossed; Old and Zawada back and fresh. Al Taay didn't play a full match on Friday, he'll be OK. Maybe Kraev back in form.
With the crowd behind the team and favourable weather, we should win.

Chiefy said in his press conference pre Roar that Zawada was still a couple weeks from starting, wouldn't get your hopes up that he will play from the beginning. Not sure about the chances of Old being able to start.

Expecting a return to a back 4:

Paulsen
Payne Surman Wootton LKH
al-Taay Rufer Conchie
Kosta Ball Kraev

In fact, Chief said the opposite about Old. He won't recover until the team find some space to allow him to recover. Chief said two weeks off feet.

that's bad news. How is that the opposite of what I said though

In my unprofessional opinion,we should rest ben old after the Western game on the 10th. Chief said he needs 2 weeks off feet to get back to full fitness.
18th vs Macarthur away
24th vs Perth away
Salas will be here and Old gets to stay in NZ, where our next game is 3rd march in wellington.
Gets 3 weeks off plus can stay in NZ and get to full fitness, with the downside being he misses 2 games.
Seems a no brainer to me especially to get it done as early as possible so to push for a title finish.

The Nix will have got into Welly yesterday. Light training session today, and valuable time formulating a plan for CCM. Focus on shutting down Torres no doubt. Mariners won't get into NZ from Adelaide until late tonight or even Monday.

Important players/motivators Rufer & Payne coming back, will give the team a big lift. Maybe Sutton as well. Old & Zawada capable of playing more mins. Big crowd at fortress ROF. The energised hype of 1st verus 2nd. The Nix can definitely win.
Nice save Coochiee. Spelling Ref would've blown the pea out of his whistle on that Torres one!
If I started carding for opposition players, no one would have been left in the Adelaide away match thread.

I have nightmares with all the Ibusuki and Irankunda variations I saw.

Been following Nix forever.  So proud of their resilience and creativity.
If we are to retain players and stop them 'deserting' to Auckland we need to start calling out their individual names. It's about making them feel like they belong and that we appreciate them.  We are by far and away the best community team in the league and we need to build on that.
Last home game I was stoked to hear the Fever start using 'name chants'. It means we can thank players like Ball and Wooton who work their bums off but don't score.
Whoever started that sort of simple name chant that can be taken up by ALL the supporters deserves a medal.

Oh, by the way ... anyone else a bit miffed by the Stadium dictating that we have to sit facing into the sun!!!  My original season tickets (for 8 years or so) were in Aisle 11 - specifically so we DIDN'T have to face into the sun!!!!

From my previous experiences yes, but they didn't check them. This was with a family ticket though, so only my wife and I scanned. Others may know more though.

Bought me and 3 others tickets today. Can't wait!

I wonder if they will have any issues of kids rocking up without tickets, as it wasnt clear you are supposed to be with an adult.

I know Torres will be dangerous, but Nisbet has been a standout for them. One of the best midfielders in the league. Gonna have to do something about him as well.
They signed a new striker as well. Good height on him. Won't be surprised if Chiefy sticks to a back 5 for this game.

I fear our deep block may implode in this game.

I know I'm being a little hopeful with Old and Zawada. But if they have the legs, this is the game that we need them. I think Kosta and Ball have given an amazing seasons shift but they're tiring (unsurprisingly).

The introduction of more than 2 of the young lads, including LKH, at any one time would worry me.

We are showing signs of a lack of depth now. A 27 game season in 6 months played. It's not the best league technically, but the players are very fit and fast (more so than some top European leagues), it's quite an ask for a small squad.

Sorry for my third post but just thinking. Park the bus won't work. It's what's in front of the defence that makes "park the bus" effective. Al Taay is a tough tackling midfielder rather than a "ball nicker" or a "disruptor".  There's a physical limit to tough tackling.

I think that we need to out score them. Old and Zawada are essential.

No. 4
Rufer is currently the best midfielder in the A-League. Forget Nisbet.
He's changed a lot, starting this year. From 7 Duels won per game to 27+ sometimes this season. And he does everything; Nicks, disrupts, crunching tackles, shields, long balls, scores.
He's learnt some Italian defensive stuff.

At the risk of getting ahead of myself, if we finish top of the table and make the grand final will we host it or is there something keeping it in Australia regardless?

I know Sydney bought the final for a few years but that was scrapped, but wondered if there could be something else.

Do not apologise for three posts KP. It must be tough enough to have no Pennington to mention for the game plan against CCM.
And I agree that parking the bus does not work well against an aggressive team like CCM. I cannot remember seeing CCM "sit back" ever, let alone their last few games. Having an effective midfield to connect with the strikers if we win the ball is a key, and may slow down their raids. This is where we could not make a difference late in the game against Brisbane.

Zawada's out for another month.

That might be a sliver lining long term for the Nix.

His form and fitness this season may not be good enough for that dream move he wants, so signs on again.

I just looked up CCM season so far, they are the in-form team at the moment. After losing their first 4 games, they have pretty much won all their games including on the road with only a couple of draws. It's going to be a tough one. Hopefully a big crowd will help us

What's the vibe around welly like though, is there much interest in the game. If people are talking about it there will be a good crowd.

Zawada's out for another month.
In the press conference today Chief said they don't know and Zawada is going to get scans today, he threw out 3 or 4 weeks as what he's thinking, but re-iterated they have no idea.

I think the Stuff article was put out after the scans
