Is he really considering Piper as our 9 next season? Is that why he’s doing this?

Basically admitting we lack a big physical presence up top. Out of the box, but I like it.

Another piece of the puzzle to fix in the off season though. Nearly created something out of nothing for LBS too, who needed to hit first time.

It’s just more tinkering though.

Is he genuinely going to play Piper there? Why wait until now?

Sheridan in the midfield. Kelly-Heald in the midfield.

I want to see us play as we’re intending to, so players can learn their position.

He’s gunna bench Nagasawa all next season?

Still playing it backwards and backwards.  So.predictable, so hopeless.

We do look a lot more positive with these subs on.

Good? No. But more positive.

AFC a player gets a good long chance. And then that’s it…

And then they play Randall instead of Gillion.

"Best move they've played all season", says Ifill. Agree. Why does it take all effing season to play like that though?

Piper up front does mean he isn’t slowing or stopping the move further back…

That was why Piper up top.
Should be 1-1 - We don't deserve it mind, but that was about the best opportunity we've fashioned.

[Sarcasm]Not enough time to gel.

A real shame, as we were just coming into our prime.[/sarcasm]

Piper’s killed the last two attacks because they’ve played in to his feet. And helped set Perth away. Don’t mind his heading tho…

Also possibly not true, but we forget our good stuff after each game and don’t try to replicate it.

I take it you're being sarcastic? They're pros who've been training together full-time for seven months!

Perth is in a position to waste time, but they've been doing it all half. Ref not policing it

Taggart is way too good to be playing for Perth.
I'm thinking the same is true for Kosta on our team after that game...

He does. Based on this performance, we're not keeping him are we?

There's going to be a hell of lot of talking about the (admittedly) huge amounts of negatives. But here's some positives.
* Josh is a decent keeper, it wouldn't be the worst thing to keep him around for another year.
* Walker is better than LBS at this stage of their development. Alongside GSR there's a decent number of young players who will be good enough, in time.
* Not quite a positive but it was clear the Sutton didn't have his head anywhere near the game tonight. LKH could go back to the left, he isn't a midfielder but still a tidy player with potential.
* Rufer isn't anywhere near his best - you'd expect way more from him next season.
* Piper will continue to improve, probably not a player that will ever be sold on, so should be a big part of our plans for years to come.
* Retre has been better in his limited minutes recently, than his basically anonymous start to the season.
Erm, thats all I've got.

"Best move they've played all season" - Ifill.

A string of great passes and fluid football that ended with a scuffed cross that went out for a corner.

Incredible that that was the best move of our entire season.

We should have seen a dozen similar moves every bloody game. Some might have even produced a goal. Just shows you don't need a Marco or a Chico to actually put a decent move together.

I wish for his and everyone's sake that he'd just admit we were poor and didn't deserve anything from the game.

It'd be an actual breath of fresh air, as well as an honest assessment of the game, and the many others that we've played this season.

Seriously, how can you blame the pre-season 26 games into the season. It's just a poor excuse.

I regret being able to go to that. Kudos to the fever and Featherston putting on a good pre match shindig. It was vastly superior what we all had to sit through.

Honestly, chiefy was just perched against the dugout the whole second half. The body language was as negative as the vast majority of our play. How Sutton lasted the whole game was beyond me. There were glimpses of good play but ffs. We better keep Kosta.

Great to think.....only another season watching this crap then (hopefully) we gat a new coach.
We may have different players next season but the sludge will be the same.  Chiefy hasn't got a clue.

No the two ladies and Ifill.

Ifill actually was ok, but the two ladies were looking nervously at each other throughout. From their expressions it was clear they were not believing anything he was saying and it was very uncomfortable all round.
