Join us the Featherston. We have a $1,000 bar tab to rip through and the Feathers are chucking on some nibbles.

Edit. It's $1250. Show your ticket or nix/Fever gear from 2pm.

I'm not happy with anything the club is doing at the moment. And live games are just a hard watch. Not coming to game, my personal little boycott.

Let the kids play.

Start GSR, Conchie, Supyk etc. Give them 90 minutes and liscence to be themselves on the pitch.

The game means nothing - we are going to Darwin... might as well see what the above can do with a little freedom as opposed to the dross tactics we have forced them to play with all season (if and when they have played).

Lets play 3 midfielders in the midfield, and 3 strikers up top and see what happens.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

I'd certainly be looking to sub Wootton & Sutton off early so they can get a little crowd acknowledgement. Good solid servants of the club.

But also looking towards next season, why not give Jayden Smith 20 mins alongside Hughes at CB. Same Tze Loke a 20 min run at LB.

When you put it like that it’d be ungrateful not to…

Assume this is pre-game followed by one last march to the RoF for the season? (Edit: thanks for the extra details above)

Assuming Perth stayed in NZ following their game on Sunday?  If so they will have acclimatised completely by the time they play us.

I am predicting this will be our 14th loss of the season, but would be more than happy to be proved wrong.

Sutts and Woots last game for us, and maybe Kosta too if Pierres info is true.  💀

Yes on a short 5 day turnaround between games, you'd think the Glory will have stayed in NZ. I remember WSW returned to Sydney, in the midst their NZ double header, but likely different for Perth.

I'd wager $100 with Pierre, Kosta is staying with the Nix. Double or quits Giancarlo and Adam actually talk to each other.

If I heard correctly from the presser after the Brisbane game, Chiefy did allude to the fact there were a couple in the reserves who were getting minutes in the legs in the Central League for this exact reason.

Suspect GSR and Loke will get a shot. Potentially even Lachlan Candy too. I guess we'll really see if Conchie figures in Chiefs plans going forward as well. If he can't get anything in a nothing match, then that would speak volumes.

Loke played LB/LWB for the reserves on the weekend. Candy looked good and his interplay and willingness to spring forward and get play into the final ⅓ was excellent (before he was sent off) and GSR scored an absolute rocket. Despite conceding the late goal to level it up, it was actually quite a good showing from the ressies. Very nice on the eye for large parts and some good phases of attacking play. The first goal was exceptionally well worked too. Intricate, one touch, pass and move - Peeled them back like a tin can.

As mentioned above too, maybe even Jayden Smith might get another cameo appearance. Not sure he's got enough minutes in the legs though, so 20-30 minutes might be apt.

GSR scored a cracker of a goal on Saturday, was also surprised at the physical development of Supyk he has bulked up since i last saw him and also looks to be taller.
Do sendoffs in the reserve competition carry over to A League

I wouldn't imagine so.

What better way to serve your suspension though? Elevation to the first team. #Pathways 🤣

Didn't Conchie miss being available for early season ALM games last season, because of his sending off in that CL game for a homophobic slur?

I suspect he will just keep on with the 7 defenders formation for the Perth game and break upon the shackles in Darwin.

He was stood down internally by the club, the NZF ban could only be enforced on Central/National League games

During the broadcast of the Auckland vs Perth game the commentators (actually Tom Doyle) said that Perth were going to stay on in New Zealand, and joked that the weather during the week was not the one they hoped for.

I think that was a club decision to stand him down for 10 weeks.

Sounds like GSR might get some time on the pitch, he deserves it after last weekend’s Reserves game.

The West understands the club are currently working through the options in order to reach Wellington in time for the game.
One option is a flight to Wellington to tomorrow morning, with storms expected to subside overnight.
The other would be an eight-hour bus trip, although there are concerns both around the length of the journey for the players and warnings around travel in the area.
Given the length of the trip by bus, that journey would likely have to be undertaken on Thursday.

Dam, I genuinely thought they would have arrived in Welly not long after their game on Sunday.  Why leave arrangements till the day before?

Surprised they didn't travel to Welly earlier. I thought they would have wanted to get the flight out of the way as early as possible and spend most of the week training in Welly rather than sticking around in Auckland

If the wind warning doesn't disappear could we see the match called off/postponed?

We’ll have to make the most of that bar tab to build up immunity.

(Assuming Perth make it here, that is.)

Weather in Auckland was sharke earlier in the week. Don’t understand why they didn’t head down earlier.

If it’s good enough for Wrexham and Hollywood, it’s good enough for Perth.

Story says they stayed in Auckland just couldnt get to Welly.
"Perth had elected to remain in Auckland following their game against premiers Auckland FC last weekend, which they lost 1-0.
In a statement, the Australian Professional Leagues said they were working with the clubs and the players association to explore all options to get the Glory to Wellington as quickly and safely as possible."

not that im unhappy about it, even though the weather is supposed to settle by this evening it would be horrible at the stadium toinight at 730.

Ground is gonna be cut to shreds with the 'canes playing on Satirday night.

Italiano all butt confirms Sutton and Wootten not gonna be here next season.

Feel really sorry for the Glory fans who have been here for both games. Guessing some will miss it as they havnt been able to rearrange travel. That would really be a PO having come so far.

Our game will now happens after the Hurricanes match. I wonder how well the turf will recover from that and the storm.
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.
