Ie average Autumn weather. 

Regardless: finals / knock out football trumps weather. 

Not often you get a game where there has to be a result; quite the novelty this Saturday. 

I reckon we'll see tix selling pretty well this week. The hype train will surely start to go into overdrive as it ticks down to gameday

I once visited Welly, and some mates (big rugby fans) had bought tickets to a Canes Super Rugby (night) game. We started the walk up the Causeway to be hit by sideways rain and a freezing wind. A few miserable looks at each other, and a quick turnaround to scurry off to some Lambton Quay pub.

For sure a number of casuals won't turn up (even with paid tix for such a big occassion) if the weather is nasty.

I was told once that any forecast more than 72 hours is no more than an educated guess.  So forecasts are not relevant until Thursday.

2-5 are yet to be released. 2 would be the only possible bronze section as it would be symetrical to the other side but you never know

Pax update! 21245 - purchased just now.

If this game was held tonight, it would already be the fourth-biggest crowd ever for a Nix game in Welly, behind the Covid return game in 2021 and both home finals in 2010.

Still FIVE days to go!

I should've been paying more attention during the Mariners/Sydney semi and shouted for a Sky Blues win.

So, if Sydney overcome the deficit this weekend (not an unlikely scenario) and we, with a big home crowd behind us, defeat the Victory, then...it's all on in Wellington for the big one.

This isn’t adding up for me. Pax was about 20k yesterday. Now would be 22k-ish according to Dome’s tweet.  8000 left to purchase would only get us to 30k -  short of capacity??

Just to clear up confusion about Mr Domes PAX Update.
The capacity of the bowl is 31,000.
He is saying now that more than 23,000 tickets have sold, and to the general public is there is less than 8000 seats left to purchase.
The remainder to get to capacity of 34,000 is to completely pack all the corporate boxes and Phoenix lounge.
Even if we sell the entire bowl I say it
is unlikely to go over 32/33k because all the upstairs areas out the bowl need to be completely filled to get to capacity.

Confused…. 

There will be a few thousand allocated to stadium members, sponsors, etc. Bunch of gold tickets got put back on sale today which I assume meant whoever they were allocated to didn't need them. Probably league sponsors. 

Yellow seats capacity is 31k so pax would be around 23k. Other 3.5k is the lounges and boxes upstairs.

A lot of them won't generate any income for this match specifically, besides food & drink. 

For example, a mate offered me a lounge ticket to the last game vs Macarthur because the company he works for has lounge tickets for all stadium events that staff can apply for - no money exchanging hands except for initial outlay of whatever that stadium membership cost. I imagine that is true for many of the corporate tickets, although some will be paying via Nix specific sponsorship too.

yeah the corp boxes are all ready paid for to the stadium trust, just like the stadium members who pay hundreds every year to be able to attend all events. Club will see none of that money.

In terms of what bays are opened up, what provision made for Melbourne fans coming over?  I reckon there could be a fair few given what they had for the 1-1 draw match.  Hopefully, given that day, good security in place as well.
