Whoever wrote David beckham is NOT a footballer is the biggest tw@t I have never met.  He's played for the biggest SOCCER team in the MLS for god's sake.

If I wasn't busy pushng my pen (ooh err) I'd be out swilling beer and gazing wistfully at young fit lads running around on grass and bumping into each other...

Go and take a close look at his career, 4th highest scorer in the Premier League, surpassed Ian Rush as Liverpools'  goalscorer, Fa Cup winner 2001, UEFA Cup 2001, League Cup 1995, 2001, Champions League Runners up 2007... hmmm.. so that's nothing eh... but anyway surely doesnt come anywhere close to winning YOUR Capital 14 Div B Certificate..... In footballing Circles (which you are obviously not part of, only the beer swilling fat boys from the Back Benchers) he is the biggest footballer to come here since Beckham! A Footballer who has made close to $400M from the game, and all you can say is 'Karl ' Donkey" Dodd!! you really need to take a look at yourself and see if you really are a Football Fan, not just a pen pushing one!

If you knew anything , you'd know there is no Cap 14 Div B....

Sorry - I meant for "Fowler's sake"

Also these days I guess runners up get some sort of award/recognition (probably NCEA certificate?)

A few points...

1/  Someone might want to tell Ian Rush that over 100 of his 346 goals for Liverpool now do not count!

2/ Since when has being "Runner Up" counted as winning something?

3/ Why haven't you meantioned the European Super Cup as something that he won?

4/ David Beckham is NOT a Footballer!

2: ask any all blacks fan.  And even then you only get that satisfaction from '95.

You know Smeltz doesn't play for North Queensland ?

Anyway, we won't hear you from the Fever Zone.  The away fans are at the other end of the ground.

really???? pop quiz Baiter

how many goals has he scored this season? How many have the Phoenix scored? where is his team at the table? Do the Phoenix miss him?

So there's your answer!

Even the Kop chanted Jaap Stam name (he of course had just left and United were losing at Anfield)...I'm sure United will louldy chant Judas Owen's name.

You'll be there in North Queensland Green then ?

Honestly, the Phoenix have looked better in 4 of 6 games this season than they did with Smeltz last year, so no they don't.

No, I'll be like most NZ Liverpool fans, dressed in Red and paying my respects to one of our best ever players. John Barnes is my all time favourite.

I'll be supporting the Phoenix but I hope Robbie gets a hat-trick.

Make sure if you're wearing Red you head to the away end, nobody wants you in the Zone.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I am amazed at the lack of green shirts on display whenever Fury play.
I keep thinking they are editing in footage of Adelaide because hardly anyone shows up to watch NQ attempt to imitate a football team.!

You don't see that turning up in red is supporting the visiting team ?  If you're supporting the Phoenix you wear Yellow and black, not colours of support for the opposition...

Oh Barnesy

Good point.  I'm sure if ever the Messiah Alan Shearer decided to grace the A-League and I wore my Toon shirt, I'd want to seek out other like-minded indivduals.

No because the teams are in different leagues...I'm sure Phoenix fans support other teams and wear other teams shirts (Utd, Arsenal etc).

Not to Phoenix games, and not in support of an opposition player.

This may be a newsflash to you but he's not actually playing for Liverpool who are in a different league, he's playing for the Fury who are VERY much in the same league.

If he was playing for the Phoenix dive on in, but he's not.  He plays for the opposition and I don't care if he's Ryan Nelsen but if you're playing for the opposition you are an opposition player.  Likewise if you are supporting an opposition player you are an opposition supporter.

I'm with Smith.  If you want to support Fowler you want to support the Fury.  Toddle off to the other end for this week thanks.  Next week when you want to support the Phoenix you're welcome to join us again.

Incidentally - if someone turns up next week wearing a Celtic shirt in support of McGlinchey this also applies, it's not just a Fowler/Liverpool thing.

You'll be laughed out of the zone.

If we win on Sunday I'll be in my Pre-Sony V1 kit.

ermm... So if you turn up wearing said v1 kit does that mean you know something that we don't know (e.g. gold watches, hotel maids called suzy etc)?

So when you walk out of the stadium, you can go back to wearing and supporting Celtic, United, Chelsea whoever?

Anyone who turns up with a Liverpool Shirt on to pay respects to Robbie Fowler must also have a Leeds Utd, a Man City, a Cardiff and a Blackburn shirt with them!!!

Then they will not be persecuted!!!

No one has said you can't support those teams in the stadium, but if you are doing so because of a Phoenix opposition player the Fever would prefer it if you did so from the opposition section.

Although we do discourage wearing any other professional clubs shirts in the Fever Zone, it isn't actually banned.

2nd question now remember I'm Trainee status...

what's the story when a returning player shows up? do you give him a clap to acknowledge his previous service or do you give him the boos (like Arsenal to Adebayor treatment)??

Obectionable club

Might be a conscience vote that one.  But if he brings out the fingers to the lips shhhhh at any point it will be all on.

Suspect he's unlikely to be booed but may cop some chants that are not entirely supportive.
