ALL WHITES V BAHRAIN - Official 2nd Leg T

The Bahrainis will have plenty of support. The General Organisation for Youth and Sports (Goys) have arranged for 50 or so Bahraini students based in New Zealand to be flown to Wellington where they will be joined by 30 students studying in Sydney.

80 vs 34,000! Hardly what I'd call plenty of support.

I'll be extremely disappointed if I hear a single Bahraini chant during the 90.

Plus HRH and entourage.

Same sort of ratio of away matches for nix fans vs the others...

Sumner in the Press today calls for Wood to start alongside Smeltzy, interesting. In other news the article also says that Sumner will be TV1 expert comments man, that implies they are carrying the game live aswell with there own production crew not just using Skys feed.

Makes some good points about Wood.  Wouldn't mind Ricki taking his advice on board.  If things don't look to be doing OK he can always make some subs.

Can't make Backbencher before kick-off but after the game I'll probably head along to the Four Kings.  Whereabouts is it (just incase my hosts are clueless)?

By the Rocket Bungy on Courtney Place, in the basement behind it. Used to be seedy when it was the lab. Now its all class. And the rocket bungy has the added thrill of "will the cord snap this time"? Mean ride.

Nah..."L" is your row...it's 12 rows up from where you enter the aisle.

Aisle 5 is on the western side, roughly level with the edge of the penalty area at the big screen end.

Four Kings is the best sports bar I have been to in Australia or New Zealand :)

Looking forward to the return in a few weeks.

Is this a regular season fixture or a practice match? The match last year was a barrel of laughs.

EDIT - Just saw the fixtures...

Got the 14th of work. Its all go. The only problem is getting all nine of us being sober enough to be allowed entry to the stadium.

goodness me, Nelsen needs to up his game his terrible tackle on Drogba led to the penalty, and also he was second best when Drogba beats him again from the corner kick

most importantly we need him fit and injury free until Nov 14

How is that relevant? Drogba may be African like Jaycee John but he doesn't play for Bahrain. Also none of Bahrains players are even close to being as good as Drogba.

I agree. But every dog has its day in the sun. that includes Drogba.

Elliot would be a great short term addition during MLS off-season...

Does anyone know why Oughton hasn't come into consideration at all? I was under the imprssion he could play right-back and as a DM, two positions the AWs have definately been lacking in for a while.
